I learned much I did not know (and wanted to know) about Chinese Milwaukee. Right away I went searching for the buildings featured. I didn't know about the success of early Asian medicine.

Loved the photos and even saw some people I remember when I was growing up. Unfortunately, the author missed the large academic Chinese segment who also had a great influence on the Chinese community in Milwaukee particularly in bridging the communications/contact with China and Taiwan when the opportunities opened up in the 1970s. Would have liked to see that in this book as well.
