The adorable hard to get part that Whitney played at the beginning because she herself didn't even realize that she liked Stephen was fun. I didn't see the suspense coming when Jeremy walks into the picture. I couldn't put it down because I was worried about the outcome.
I like this little Novella. It's fun, and keeps your interest with a little love and mystery thrown in. I would recommend this book to anyone.....especially Chocolate lovers.
I liked Whitney in this book. She's an award winning pastry chef who is working at the New York Chocolate Show. She didn't really want to work a shift at the show and she wanted it even less when her rival in the chef world, Stephen, volunteered to work the same shift. I liked that she wanted to not like Stephen but found herself strangely attracted to him anyway.
As Whitney is getting ready to leave the booth after her shift, she's accosted by Jeremy, a chef wanna be who she has judged harshly at a recent contest she had judged. Unfortunately he doesn't want to play nice, but Stephen protects her and whisks her off for lunch. But somehow Jeremy keeps figuring out where they are and soon he's chasing them all over NYC.
This novella has it all, great chocolate! :) Great kissing, and action and adventure. It's a quick, cute, clean fun read. I loved that I was able to read it in a short amount of time.
I loved this bite-sized morsel of delicious tension involving one of my favorite treats. Whitney is a chef and was a judge at a dessert competition. Wouldn't that be a dream job? But disgruntled Jeremy isn't happy he lost and is out to scare her off. Enter a knight in shining armor--rival, Stephen. They say that love and hate are closely related emotions and this story proves that just might be true. I love a strong, female lead, but I also love for her to realize that she needs a man. It's always amazing how a novella can go through the main elements of a story and feel complete, leaving me satisfied, yet I still didn't want it to end!
I loved the setting, the story, and the characters. This is a great read for the lover of clean, romantic suspense!
Note: I was given this book in exchange for an honest review by the Author.
