"Having worked many years in the financial industry and in London, I can relate to the scenarios Anna finds herself in. Many people found themselves in tough spots and needed a way out. A few have gone down this route (and a few have found rich sugar daddies) and believe it or not, this situation is more reality than fiction. In Galia Ryan's book Choices, she captures the essence of the lifestyle and brings to light a bit of truth rather than just erotic fiction. This book is well written, a feast of a read and I look forward to reading her next novels in the series." --Brent McLean for Reader Views
5 Stars: Shoes, purses and the latest fashion can get a girl in big trouble. More than one girl has spent their last penny and maxed out a credit card or two in the name of looking good. That is exactly what happened to Anna.
After years of spending well beyond her means, Anna is faced with mounting debt that her job as a banker just can't cover anymore. When it finally comes down to having to choose between keeping the lights on and paying off her credit card, she has a moment of clarity. Out of necessity, not desire, Anna becomes a frugal reformed spendthrift. She knows without changing her ways, she will never escape the confines of the shackles in which she has found herself. So, she stays out of the mall, takes her lunch to work and skips happy hour. When it becomes clear that she will never achieve financial freedom at the rate she is going, she knows a second job is the only answer.
Banning the idea of waiting tables or flipping burgers, she has an epiphany and so, she turns to the section of the paper that is home to the ads for working women no, not the professional section, the section where women in the world's oldest profession go to get work. Yes, I do mean hookers, streetwalkers, call girls, escorts what ever you want to call them; they are all the same, just at different pay grades.
Taking the initial plunge was the hardest, but once she got her feet wet, there was no turning back, the money was too good too easy. Anna's life was really turning around. Once she accomplished her goal she thought it would be easy to just walk away and call it quits - but nothing in life is that simple, at least not in Anna's life. Her life has become very complex and filled with emotions she has never experienced. When she is faced with the ultimate life altering decision, what will she choose?

There is always a growing list of must-see places. CHOICES is her first novel, and the first of a trilogy. SECRETS and LIES will be published by Fanny Press in 2013.

Hated it, I couldn't even finish it. Just not my thing.
I got this book late for a tour by my standards since the email gremlins ate my review copy! So I basically sat down right away and plowed my way through this as quickly as possible to get it done in time.
Anna is likeable enough, although I completely don't agree with her life choices. I totally don't agree with her decision at the end. Is she saying regular sex isn't good enough for her? Her initial decision is fine with me though - it's her body, so it's good :) She does need to learn how to live within her means though, and work harder to save a deposit! She won't stay young forever.
That bracelet intrigued me. I was super surprised she was accepting gifts, and that she would keep them at all. Also, I think she should have been more understanding about Jake, and offered him more of a chance.
The perspective changes were pretty neat, and something that I thought could have added even more depth to the book. Some more perspective from her strange lover, even some from Jake's POV.
This book does not practice safe sex. At all. Which put me off. And also, although I'm not a feminist, I like women with a bit of spine, and Anna certainly lacks it with Adam. Doormat! Although I guess that's the point. I hate to think of how ill she could potentially get. This book is probably t
Something that frustrated me the most about this book was the cliffhanger ending. There was no closure to speak of. None! Which is fine I guess, if the other two book are out, but they aren't until 2012.
This novel seems to be written off the back of the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, and honestly I think it does a better job. There's variety in the sex, and something other than S&M for those who don't go in for that as much. The language is a lot harsher though, and some of the scenes were pretty uncomfortable. I would be interested to see where the language and storyline goes for the next one.
This is her journey as she explores the world with a variety of clients. These include an older gentleman who initiates her into the work of an escort; an estate agent; a construction worker; a 17 year old and more. But her ultimate client is Adam. He demands her submission over and over again, pushing her to her limits. Anna relishes her time with him and the control he exerts over her but will it be enough for Anna? Will Anna be enough for him?
When Anna meets Jake outside of work, can she make it work? Will she be honest with him? Can she make a vanilla relationship work?
Anna is in a desperate situation when we first meet her but she is tough and picks herself up, dusts herself down and tries something way outside of her comfort zone. Escort work suits her and she grows in confidence with each new client. The reasons for her continuing as an Escort change as she pays off her debts, but it is her choice to continue on. She is confused by how she feels when she is with Adam but she needs the dominating character that he is. Adam is successful, confident and knows exactly what he wants and for now that is Anna's complete submission.
With a cast of down to earth characters and some incredibly hot and spicy scenes, this is a read that is sexy and captivating. It is a perfect blend of sweetness and naughtiness.
The choices that Anna has to make will shape her future. What will she choose?
This book was gifted to me by Paranormal Romance and authors that rock and Galia Ryan.
Anna was raised to be a traditional girl who went to college and majored in business. Her parents made a fuss about her moving to the city away from them and getting an apartment way out of her price range. That same day her mother told her she had cancer and it was untreatable. Anna said she’d find an apartment close to home and help. Her mom wouldn’t have it because she wanted her baby to live her dream. Only if Anna would have fought would she have never saw the underside of the city and became an Elite Escort. In debt up to her ears Anna was desperate. She went to Stephanie who love the way she looked and offered her a deal to get her started on company dime and she’d pay it back. Yep she took the deal and became one of the most requested escorts. Unfortunately she was booked with a man who liked his escorts as whores and slaves named Adam. Anna complied. Until one day she started dating this amazing Firefighter, Jake. He changed her mind and made her realizes she didn’t want to be dominated, or did she? Will she pick Jake or the Dom Adam? Read on.
I’m not too familiar with books like this but it was interesting. Adam seems to be broken beyond repair until the end. Anna shows signs of being a true submissive and slave. I loved Anna as herself and not as her escort side, Chloe. I really loved Jake and his loving side, but it sounds like Anna isn’t sure what she wants. The other escorts made me giggle, especially Sabine.
This book is erotica and domanatircs so 18+ for sure.
