Chris got his start reading comic books in the 1970's. His first embrace of literature was from the same source. In the 1970's, Chris received a copy of the comic book of "The Island of Doctor Moreau" and was transfixed by its tales of adventure and the combination of science and fantasy. This lead him to read the novel, followed by many other classics. Additionally, Chris found epic fantasy. Beginning with The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and moving through all of Tolkien, through to modern authors like Piers Anthony, Katherine Kurtz, J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin, he became enthralled with telling stories of real people in a fantastic context.
Walters published his first novel, "Age of Mystics: the Saga of Mystics, Book One" in March of 2016. An avid reader, as well as writer, he began writing for the stage in 1986 with the One-Act play, "The Answer." Chris continued to write for many years for the stage and, eventually, the screen. He never saw commercial success in these ventures, but is still proud of the work he put forth and the entertainment he provided. Chris lives in New Haven, CT with his wife, Cathy. She is an artist whose work is sold worldwide. He has two adult children, Zachary and Maggie.
