I knew Bibles to Muslims had been contextulized, where references to God the Father and Jesus the Son had been removed, but I had no idea evangelism methods to Muslims were contextulized too. Using the Qur'an to show Jesus is blasphemous. Isa is not Jesus. Not only does the Qur'an contradict the Bible, but the Qur'an contradicts itself. This book is an extensive review of the blasphemous Insider Movement techniques. After reading this book, I was suspicious of my church missionary to Muslims. After questioning my missionary, he confessed to being part of the Insider Movement. Church members have no idea this technique is being used. The Insider Movement needs to be exposed and every pastor needs to be made aware.

i liked it a lot and i think it is a very important book for any christian. in paticular any christian interested in or considering going into the mission field. i think this book deals with a very important subject that is not getting enough attention. yes, we give to missionaries through our churches but sometimes its out of sight out of mind. this book sheds some important light as to whats happening in the field.

The book's quality is a mix. Some chapters are well-written in terms of style and well-researched. Others are somewhat subjective and difficult to read. The book's major weakness is lack of direct communication with the representatives of the opposite view (i.e. the IM-ers). While the book contributors (all staunch critics of the IM movement) do cite their opponents quite profusely, it would have been fairer if the IM-ers had been directly asked to express their opinions directly by being allowed their own space within the pages of this book. This would have made for a more balanced representation of their views.

This book is extremely helpful in understanding in a compassionate way the Insider Movement, and yet revealing the fundamental flaws in the movement. I appreciated the overall tone of the book, which is not blasting the attitude of the insider movement, but demonstrating that the movement is attractive but unbiblical and fails to lead to strong Christians among Muslims. There is a basic fallacy in theology in the Insider Movement that is clearly demonstrated. This spills over into translations which have been creating major problems in a number of Muslim countries.

This book analyses and criticizes in an academic way the approach of the IM to make the Gospel "Muslim-friendly." It is no question that Islam is Anti-Christ in every aspect of its system: Allah is depersonalized, Al Masih is demoted as the divine savior, and mankind is dehumanized. Islam is not another way to God, it is one of many ways away from salvation. To take the Gospel and Islamize its language, is turning the Gospel into meaningless and powerless heresy. Such destruction of the Gospel confirms the message of Islam that there is no salvation and never will be. However, in Jesus, the divine Messiah is the only salvation. IM in effect destroys the hope for Muslims to get saved. We need a lot more books, which debunk the heretical arguments of the Insider Movement.
