“Little acts of kindness,
our friends and families dear,
Merry time together -
gifts from God to last all year!”
Make yourself and your cutie a cup of Peppermint Stick Cocoa and settle in for a snuggle and a sweet Christmas story.
Hint... if you're running behind on Christmas gifts like I am, the Peppermint Stick Cocoa and a copy of One Christmas Bear would make a fantastic Christmas gift for parents of toddlers. (you can find the recipe by searching for my original blog post at blessed and bewildered).
As a reviewer for FrontGate Media, I received a review copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. My thanks to FrontGate Media, the author, and publisher.
Follow the merry adventures of a polar bear and the artic animals as they enjoy winter fun! From crunchy candy canes and frosty snowballs to friends to play with and a family to love, your little one will enjoy counting God’s wonderful gifts.
One Christmas Bear is a book of twenty pages for younger children. Your child will have fun counting Christmas items and listening to the rhyming words. Both are things a child will need to know entering school. What child does not like reading about Christmas. It's the most wonderful time of the year and reminding ourselves of God's love for us.
My first impression of this book was that it has a cute polar bear on the cover and the board book cover sparkled with glitter. I opened the book and found that each page is made from not so sturdy board. It would be easy for really young children to tear and not stand the chewing from babies. The book and words are fantastic. My child will love this at Christmastime.
I received this book for free from booklookbloggers in exchange for an honest review.
This book would make a wonderful Christmas gift or as an addition to a Book Advent. If you're unfamiliar with this idea, you wrap 25 Christmas themed books and put them under the tree. Starting December 1st, the child picks a book to unwrap and read each night. This book would be wonderful for a younger child or toddler.
My daughter's thoughts:
This is cute. I like the wolf and the bear and the snowmen-animals. My favorite part is the foxes making snow angels.
A complimentary copy of this book was provided by BookLook Bloggers. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. All opinions are my own.
This really is a cute counting book. The animals scenes are fun, and we liked the rhyming text. My little guy liked seeing the numbers on the pages and then we would count the items mentioned for that page. He liked the sparkle on the front cover too. This is a board book and perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy this holiday season.
This would make a great stocking stuffer for a little one!
I received a copy of this book for my honest review from FrontGate Reviewer program.
I got this book in October from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for an honest review and I decided to wait until November to read it because I didn't want to get too hyped about Christmas so early, but here we are, I am hyped. This book is so adorable. It is a counting book that uses animals and verse in a winter wonderland of fun. There is one bear and the counting starts there, all the winter animals get together to have some fun in the snow and decorate a tree.
The illustrations are spot-on too and the animals are so cute and festive. This book really got me into the Christmas-y mood and it will help with counting for your little ones too.
A really sweet simple book that young children are going to love!
