"The ending is delightfully satisfying with at least one HEA and a Christmas to remember. I really enjoyed this story very much and am pleased it is being re-released for those romance readers who may have missed it the first time around.

About the Author
When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

I enjoyed re-reading Lacey and Ean’s love story. Childhood friends, separated over time, only to discover that young love can last – if it’s the right person from the start. A lovely second chance at love story amidst the craziness of getting Ava ready for her wedding.
Ava and Brian’s romance was a bit different in that this is a second chance at a new love romance. Not to give spoilers away but Ever After is the second novel in The Christmas Cottage series so we are in a way continuing the overall story from The Christmas Cottage. (convoluted for first time readers, but honestly it all works out) :)
I was pleased to see these two charming romances combined into one book offer. The romances are funny, annoying, sweet, charming and full of love. And really that’s what matters, finding the love that is perfect for you. A heads up though – Ava can be somewhat.. umm.. intense. It’s her personality and I didn’t hold it against her because I have a friend who is just as intense.
Enjoy these two Christmas stories with a light heart and a full cup of eggnog.
*I received an e-ARC of The Christmas Cottage & Ever After from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. After she and her fiance break up on their wedding day, Ava avoids getting involved with another person. When her former fiances' best friend asks her out 8 months after her breakup, she refuses. But Brian refuses to give up. It turns out that on the night of her bachelorette party Brian had told her that he loved her. After waiting patiently they finally get together, nut Ava has a hard time admitting her feelings. Will a stay at her family's "magical" cottage give her the courage she needs?
These are two enchanting Christmas tales.
According to family legend. A couple who spends the night in The Christmas Cottage has love everlasting.
Ava has heard the legend her entire life and was trying to make everything about her first night of her marriage perfect. But. sometimes perfect isn't all it's cracked up to be. And your perfect man is the one who has been right in front of you the whole time.
Ava's best friend Lacey had heard the legend practically her entire life as well, but she doesn't believe in magic. But maybe she should believe, because it can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Christmas Cottage (4 stars): I wanted to read a book that belonged into the in love with best friends brother category for quite some time now and I was exited about reading this story. I didn't get completely satisfied though. It felt like that part only served as a connection for these characters since for the most part of the book it wasn't mentioned and I forgot about it. If it had more pages to develop, it would have been more satisfying, but it was good enough. I liked the main characters, but the sister bothered me a lot. I don't know how I will handle her story.
Ever After: If you don't like novels where the hero falls in love with the heroine to fast then don't read this book. Brian professes his love for Ava after hanging out with her a occasionally, which even I found weird. For Ava the love comes later.
I thought that Ava was overbearing in The Christmas cottage and unfortunately that doesn't change in this book. Her need for everything to be perfect was very frustrating and I just wanted to smack her head. She turned a nice novel into something that is not very good. I am glad this was a novella and not a full length novel because I don't think I would have enjoyed it and that it was going to be a pure torture. I was expecting more from her what happened in The Christmas cottage.Read more ›
