🎄 A MUST READ!!! 🎄
Harper Avery is a divorce attorney she has come with her client to sign the divorce papers. This is her last meeting until she takes her Christmas vacation. The opposing counsel is late. After he arrives his client decides he wants another chance and the whole deal is off the table. Discouraged she talks to her aunt and finds out her aunt had made other plans for Christmas. Harper isn't sure what to do when her friend sends a text that her cabin in the mountains is open, would she like to rent it? She jumps at the chance.
Gabriel Hart is the opposing attorney. He receives a text from his friend and rents a cabin in the mountains. He has arrived and is unpacking when Harper shows up. They finally decide to both stay. Gabriel's attracted to Harper sets out to make the perfect Christmas. Everything is going great when the bottom falls out of his plans.
A great journey of two lonely hearts that are made for each other. God has a plan for these two, a plan for good and not for evil. God has a plan for you too. Give him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.
Harper has vowed never to give her heart to a man but she finds herself doing just that when it comes to Gabriel. I can't really blame her, what's not to love about Gabriel? He loves his work and is a true romantic, believing in love that lasts a life time and giving people second chances. Harper has been through hard times in her life and is cautious and ends up pushing Gabriel away even after they spent days together alone in a cabin. Christmas has always been Harper's favorite time of the year and it's about time that she starts believe in the magic that comes with the Christmas season.
If this short and sweet romantic tale doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit than I don't know what will! It was very well written and kept me interested the entire time. It is longer than some of the other short stories by Susan but it could still be read in one sitting, preferably snuggled up all nice and cozy by the fire place with some hot chocolate.
