This is sweet novella about a couple about to be married when Tess's fiancé James suddenly has to go to Denver. It not a far trip by train from where they live south of Denver but Tess's premonition about his trip has her gasping for air as it doesn't fade at all and only gets stronger.
He says he is going for business for her father who he works for but that is not the case. He has a very good reason to go but a snowstorm is on the horizon and she is all worried that something bad is about to happen to James.
They are to marry Christmas Eve and is only a couple of days away.
Tess's premonition ends up being for a good reason as James is delayed coming back. Something has happened and the telegraph is down and no one knows what is going on with the train.
I loved this author and I want to read more of her stories now that I read this one.
She creates good characters and story of love and romance and trouble of course that ends up as an adventure almost even for Tess as she feels has to look for James.
There are surprises and trouble of course as she thought but it also has a great ending.
I highly recommend this story.
