When Elsie get an invitation to attend a motivational seminar, she tries to ignore it. When invitation keeps showing up she is a bit perplexed. When her boss announces they need someone to attend this same seminar she thinks someone is playing a joke on her. Eventually she decides that it is inevitable that she will have to go.
The seminar is led by Gabriel Christensen. Although he seems like a nice person there is something about him that makes Elsie think he might be able to see right into her. Through the seminar she learns that she must try to forgive past hurts.
While she is home for the holidays, Elsie finds her old boyfriend and all of her old feelings of hurt and betrayal come forward. Unless Elsie can find it in her heart to forgive Jason she will have to go back to Chicago sad and alone once again. If Jason wants to get Elsie back he has his work cut out for him. Nothing in life is easy but Jason is used to hard work.
This was a great little Holiday Romance. I enjoyed how everyone was determined to make up for a past mistake and put things right again. This story was a joy to read.
As much as I really did like this story; I had a hard time liking the main female character, Elise Banks. ...
I liked the way the story was woven through a letter of forgiveness that mysteriously sent to the intended person that starts the healing process and sets up the rest of the story.
The pace of the story is good and the tension between the two main characters, Elise and Jason kept me engaged in the story. It was entertaining and inspirational. Excellent story for the season or anytime.
I loved how the wish was made and then things just fell into place and happened. The characters were clueless, but it really was meant to be. I really enjoyed the message of forgiveness and acceptance. More often than not, you have to be the bigger person and say "I'm sorry" first and when Elise did that, even though she really didn't mean to, it got the ball rolling for many Christmas miracles.
I could understand how hurt Elise was and when too much time passes, sometimes pride gets in the way and makes it harder to move forward.
The way things came together was a fun adventure and very sweet.
Who knew that attending a free seminar could change your life for the better? Elise attends a seminar where she is encouraged to write a letter of forgiveness to someone who has wronged her. She writes the letter to her father, only to realize that the letter she never intended to mail is gone. It seems that the letter is mysteriously mailed to her father. Upon receiving the letter, Elise's father calls the daughter he has not spoken to in a very long time and encourages her to come home for a visit. He realizes that he was wrong to keep Elise away from Jason, just because he and Jason's father had a disagreement years ago.
Can he bring Jason and Elise back together? Will Elise open her heart again to Jason?
You need to read this story and wish on a star.
I highly recommend this story.
On a cold December evening Marilyn went outside to feed the sheep and looked up at the sky to see a lone star brightly shining. She made a wish upon the star for her family to reconcile .
It had been 5 years since Elise had moved to Chicago and was barely on speaking terms with her father, Benjamin. His daughter Elise was once engaged to Jason. Benjamin had ruined their relationship because of a quarrel he'd had with Jason's father.....until the angel makes Marilyn's wish come true that is...and everyone learns the value of forgiveness.
It is a wonderful story.
Bible (ˈbaɪb ə l)
1. a. the Bible the sacred writings of the Christian religion, comprising the Old and New Testaments and, in the Roman Catholic Church, the Apocrypha
b. ( as modifier ): a Bible reading
2. the English name for Tanach
3. ( often not capital ) any book containing the sacred writings of a religion
4. ( usually not capital ) a book regarded as authoritative: the angler's bible
[C13: from Old French, from Medieval Latin biblia books, from Greek, plural of biblion book, diminutive of biblos papyrus, from Bublos Phoenician port from which Greece obtained Egyptian papyrus]"
The story is sweet enough but poor proofreading was irksome.

So, probably because it is a short novel, it is easy to predict which direction the plot is heading in. And the whilst that does make it a little cheesy, the story is told in such an inoffensive way, that you cannot help but feel charmed by it. With the magic of Christmas comes the welcome happy ending and by this time I yearned for this for the main character, Elise.
Definitely give this your attention if by the middle of December you just aren't feeling Christmassy or need a solid "pick me up", because this charming little story will certainly deliver. Plus, I think this novella is best consumed with a large mug of steaming hot chocolate. Well, why not?
It was shot but still managed to get the story across freaky well and didn't leave you wanting more, though really you do as it is one of those feel good stories.
A wish upon a star, leads to a series of effects that mages everything fall into place. A miscommunication from the past with lies is forgiven and the strange man who "orchestrates" ma Jess you raise that sorry really if the hardest weird, but you need to be bigger person and say it and forgive.
Great clean Xmas novella
