Not keen on the "hard cover"
on December 4, 2013
The book definitely shows that it's been around for a while. I don't mind that the drawings and text look and sound a bit old fashioned; I wanted to have a book that explains the Christian origins of Christmas and in that sense the book really fulfills its purpose and my two year old seems to enjoy the story (I explain in my own words).
What I don't like is that the binding seems very flimsy. It is a hardcover all right, but a very old fashioned type of hardcover where you actually have to bend the (thinner part of the) cardboard in order to be able to open the book (sorry, can't explain it better). I'm not sure how long this book will survive. But I won't complain either, since it was very cheap.
