Lauren is flown into from Anchorage to Garland by Andy Holliday. Andy is an architect who has returned from Seattle to Garland help in his family business. It turns out that the Holliday's founded the town and their business is somewhat mysterious. Lauren is even called in to help when their reindeer Rudy suffers an ankle injury.
The town is small but picturesque. The hospital is more of a clinic and runs out of a converted Victorian House. Within a short time, Lauren falls in love with the town and it with her as well. When she finds out that the Boston fellowship is hers for the taking, she has a big decision to make. The fact that she and Andy have grown closer makes it even more difficult.
The movie is very cute and has a little touch of magic that gives it a lovely holiday vibe. It was really fun to see Ms. Bure in this role. She brings a lovely charm to all of the Hallmark movies I've seen her star in. David O'Donnell plays Andy Holliday and he and Ms. Bure have a great chemistry. Frank Holliday (Andy's father and a rather Santa-like looking individual) is well played by Brian Doyle-Murray.
The movie is one that I will certainly add to my holiday line-up of films. We start playing old favorites at Thanksgiving and throughout December. It is always great fun to find another movie that we will watch each year and this is one of those.
