There are 2 stories in this novel: The Bird Wars & The Christmas Wars. In the Bird Wars Kayla feels totally miserable. Her best friend, Jade, is ditching her and Kayla becomes friends with new girl Sabrina. But Sabrina looks down on Kayla and says mean things to her. Kayla now feel alone and doesn't know how to get friends. What's poor Kayla gonna do? (Totally felt bad for Kayla throughout the book except the end.)

In the Christmas Wars, Nicole is friends with Nina, Kayla, and Sara. Christmas is right around the corner and Nicole's secret santa is a girl named Greta. Greta is weird and wears horrible clothes. Nicole doesn't like having Greta as a secret santa. So when she comes home her mother tells some very interesting information about Greta. After listening to her mom, Nicole tells her friends about Greta and they sit with her at lunch (since she's alone all the time). Greta begins smiling and feeling so much better and Nicole & Nina leave gifts all the time for Greta. Things are going great but when Nicole and her friends go shopping (alone for the first time!) Nicole is used in a bet between good friend Matt & hottie Walker Dane, who's a year older. Nicole now has to go to the Christmas Dance with Walker since he won the bet. Nicole feels horrible so what is she going to do? Miss out on the dance or go with the possibility of being embarrassed at her first school dance?

I enjoyed both stories but I felt like they were incomplete, especially Christmas Wars. Christmas Wars sounded totally better than what I read. The synopsis seemed to be a little dramatic (in my opinion).

Overall 2 good short stories, just incomplete.

This book is really good. I wanted it to go on more about how Nina steals Walker. I didn't expect it to end so early. I read this book in bed and I zoned out because it was so so so good. I looked at what percent I was at and it said 72%. I was really shocked because I had been reading for an hour. I recommend this book to everyone!

The book continues about the love triangle and drama between Nicole, Nina, and every single boy they know. Plus, a Christmas dance that gets every one in the "spirit". I absolutely love it and recommend it. (But read the two books that come before it) :)

This book was not good in many ways. I did not understand why even the girls that were not in the clique were also bratty lying divas.
Although, I did enjoy reading this book. The author and other reviewers would recomend this to a forth or fifth grader, I disagree. This book has characters who do not make the right choices A LOT. So, this book woud be good for slightly older kids.
My overall experience with this book was in between some good and good.Try it out! You might like the book a lot!(:

It was a good book, but I let my daughter read it and it was very inappropriate, I do not recommend it to kids under the age of 9. It was actually so inappropriate that I wouldn't even give it to my older daughter that is 17.

This book was awesomely good. I find it had like a juicy twist and I had a lot of fun reading it. Melanie Marks is a great author and I have read a lot of her good, fun books.
