I have been telling stories since I was a girl, but I began to seriously write them down and send them off while my boys were young. This story, THE CHRISTMAS WELL, was first published in an anthology now out of print.
Growing up in Pittsburgh, we often got our first snow storm about Thanksgiving. We got deep snow and the Steelers lost. We tromped to school the week after regardless. Christmas Eve snow was longed for, but it did cause complications when getting to Candlelight Service. When the pipes broke on our street in a run of bitter cold hovering around four degrees for several days, my whole neighborhood was without water until a water tank appeared up at the top of the street...
