Dr. Christopher Burton is a practicing physician who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has written several books to help physicians prevent burnout, improve health, grow their practices and careers, and develop the skills needed to succeed.
Dr. Burton is an international speaker, presenting on topics such as leadership, communication, strategic planning, goal-setting, time management and physician burnout. In addition he provides one-on-one coaching for individuals looking to take their career and organization to the next level.
He has also presented many lectures on health, nutrition and exercise for healthcare groups, including Select Physical Therapy and Gentiva, as well as for schools such as Florida State University, Loma Linda University, Fortis Institute, Union College and Azusa Pacific University.
In 2009, Dr. Burton traveled to China as part of a sports medicine delegation to discuss treatment and rehabilitation of athletes with local physicians across the country. In June 2013, he joined world renowned leadership expert John Maxwell to train over 20,000 leaders in Guatemala impacting business, government, education, media and more. He is currently an executive director of the John Maxwell team, the world's number one leadership and personal development training and coaching organization.
Through his involvement in local, state, and national medical organizations, Dr. Burton provides outstanding leadership in the healthcare community. He has served as Chair of the Young Physician's Section of the Florida Medical Association and Vice President of the Escambia County Medical Society among other positions. He brings a wealth of knowledge and broad experiences everywhere he speaks.
