I was expecting one big tub of doenjang (guess i didn't totally read the description) but was surprised to find 5 packages which is good because I don't use it too often and I wouldn't want it to go bad. The soybean paste is delicious! I was getting antsy to start making doengjang jiggae again! Thanks so much! :)

This is a pretty middle of the road doenjang. It doesn't have a special flavor, but it seems to be just a bit smoother in texture than a lot of other doenjangs I've tried, which I like.

Very reasonably priced, this will actually last me probably a year. Hard to find decent Korean stores in my area without driving 45 minutes, so Amazon bringing it straight to my door works for me. I use it primarily for Doenjang Chigae, absolutely delicious. Lots of dishes this can be used in, but the stew is probably the most popular use, definitely for me anyway.
