When these two meet, the tension between them is instantly charged with sexual energy. After Bruce screws up Andie’s case, in a way that is quite embarrassing to him, he’s forced to work alongside her. Neither wants the assignment, but have no choice. Being cops, they understand each other in ways others never could. How the fear, the adrenaline, and the fall after the excitement affects your day to day living and makes you wary to relationships. Especially with other cops.
But their attraction is undeniable and unstoppable. By the time these two get between the sheets, they are completely hot for each other. Both want it to mean nothing, but know it means more. So much more. I’ll let you read for yourself which of them flinches first and speaks of their feelings.
From beginning to end, this book is filled with wit, excitement, and undeniable love. The epilogue is especially endearing.
One day on the job, Andie is closing in on her perp with her gun drawn. Dressed in a wedding gown and just when she almost has him, she is stopped by Bruce Benton, a cop, who thinks she is robbing the place. This scene was great! Of course the perp gets away and suddenly Andie finds herself reassigned to a different partner....Bruce! These two give it as good as they take it. I loved how they conversed with each other. Bruce is to help Andie catch her perp since he fouled up the ensuing arrest.
I really enjoyed how these two started to develop feelings for each other and neither of them wanted to admit it. But when these two finally fell, they fell hard!
I liked how the brothers helped out but I wished there would have been more of them.
Overall it was a fun, enjoyable read.
I have never read this author before and received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
