Editorial Reviews

" addictive, seductive series that will have you believing in fairy tales again." - Lisa Renee Jones, New York Times bestselling author

4 Stars! "This is the anticipated second book to the Suddenly Cinderella Series, but new readers won't have any trouble jumping into the story. Much like the first book in the series, The Cinderella Makeover is an upbeat novel that is heartwarming and funny. The characters are endearing and the dialogue witty."  -- Eve Polak for RT BOOK Reviews

The Cinderella Makeover romance is part of the Suddenly Cinderella series but can be read as a stand-alone. The book opens with Francesca St James, a photographer of British descent, on assignment for GQ. Her subject is reclusive and socially awkward social media billionaire Greg Knickerbocker. In an attempt to give insight to the man behind the billion dollar company, Francesca shows up at his office for an appointment. Greg's overwhelming shyness transforms into an outright refusal to allow himself to be photographed. Francesca storms out, without getting any pictures which tarnishes her professional reputation.

Fast forward to months later and Greg's aloofness has landed him as a Class-A "dumpee" for the 100th time! To revamp his personal image and improve his love life, he agrees to be on a "swan transformation" makeover reality TV show. The TV show has 6 contestants, 3 Cinderellas and 3 Cinderfellas to be made over, and 6 judges, or Fairy Godmothers in different areas. Francesca signs on as a Fashion Stylist/Photographer and once on set realizes that Greg is a participant. As the TV show progresses Francesca and Greg cease to be enemies, and actually work together so that Greg has the best shot at winning the competition. Greg becomes more physically attractive and opens up emotionally. Like a moth to a flame, Francesca falls for him. Just one catch: fraternization and/or romantic entanglements between a judge and a contestant is not allowed. Hiding their budding romance, the couple realizes that they have more in common than they first thought.

Tarr penned a winner with Cinderella Makeover!

The Cinderella Makeover by Hope Tarr is a fun and sexy continuation to the Suddenly Cinderella series.

In this book we will once again see Francesca St James, only now it's her turn to get her Cinderella story. Francesca does not believe in fairy tales or happily ever afters but after getting the vintage shoes from Starr she gets the offer to be a "fairy godmother" on the new reality TV show Project Cinderella.

Greg Knickerbocker is known as the billionaire CEO of a tech company but he has never wanted to have his picture taken for any PR, instead his team has always been part of the image. Now as he is dumped for the hundredth time, he decides to make a change, his solution is to go on the show Project Cinderella.

Francesca cannot forgive Greg for the loss of her reputation as a professional photographer when he did not allow her to take his picture, instead giving her one of his baby pictures. But now seeing him as part of the fairy godmentor team that will help all the contestants change, she is seeing a part of him that she did not expect before.

Unfortunately, the director did the one thing she did not expect him to do, he also hired her worst enemy and the woman her last lover ran to not even ten days after their breakup Deidre Dupree. Competition runs amok, and Greg being the most geeky and least likely to win becomes their personal bet. If he wins Deidre and her boyfriend will have to cook and act as waitress for Francesca and her chosen friends. But if he looses Francesca will have to give Deidre her front row seats at Fashion shows.

As Francesca secretly helps Greg to improve and build his confidence in front of others, she also starts falling for him.

Great addition to the series. I really enjoyed how Greg, despite his many positives still has trouble finding the love of his love. Just goes to show you "All we want is love." The initial scene between Greg and Francesca is priceless, beckons to the days when you would see Bogart and Bacall or Tracy and Hepburn go back forth with witty dialogue and banter.

I soo did not like this book, deep sigh Greg was a jerk at the beginning and just when you
start to like him toward the end he shows some things haven't changed he's still a judgmental
jerk jumps to conclusions 1st and asks questions later (if at all) and Though I tried to like Francesca
(who really did change for the better) neither character really ever did for me,it felt like they spent
more time talking with other ppl or in their own heads than they did with each other and while I don't
need at lot of sex in a book I like at least some and here it was almost 70% thru the book and if you'd blinked
you'd have missed it..sigh.. what's more usually in a book it usually helps bring the 2 main characters closer
and here honestly i didn't really notice much of a difference, and when greg feel "betrayed" by Fran he doesn't
really give her a chance to explain or anything just shuts her out of his life with kinda (I do you so)(kinda attitude to him self)
like she really was the be otch he thought she was back before he admitted he'd misjudged her about being.. then ignores
her for months and the after winning gives her an ultimatum to come and claim him in front of everyone or he'll just fly off
with this other woman out of her life forever.. W T F?!?!?!?! ignores her for months and that's how he shows he wants her back???
What? and the epilogue that is supposed to help tie up the story and let you know what comes of the couple and where they end up
wasn't even about them.. 1st book I'd read in the series soo I was clueless who the epilogue was about...
never want another book by this author
