Into the restaurant walks sex on a stick Kase, who has been there every day for almost a week looking at or for her.
Ella didn't spot him before but once the bartender pointed out that the man was looking for her, she went right to him to take his order.
Kase has been interested in the girl and she is finally right in front of him. Kase is a dominant and sees the ideal sub in Ella.
As the story is told, Ella is swept off her feet by Kase and they discover that they knew each other as children.
We get a great story and HEA that we expect from the classic fairytale while getting a bit of the dom/sub dynamic too.
Shame. Shame. Shame.
There is one rule when trying to find a good book; don’t fall for a pretty cover. I didn’t even bother to look at the ratings, all I saw was this gorgeous cover.
It’s beautiful, and crap on a cracker, you are reading this review because you saw the cover and avoided the impulse shopping trap. You are a more savvy buyer than I am because I did buy this and then I made myself suffer reading the entire book as punishment for my weakness.
This is porn and not in a good way. There is no cleverly written plot. The characters lack depth—and to be honest the lack character. The D/s angle is shabby. Our heroine is flat. The hero is cliche. And the quality of the writing is in first draft realm of readable.
Nothing good here, so move on.
You need more reason than above? This is the fan fic/novella version of Fifty Shades of Gray but more poorly developed. AND if you listen carefully when you open the book on your Kindle you will hear the soundtrack of all the 80’s x-rated movies playing at once; then a plumber, pizza delivery man, or creepy next door neighbor will knock on your door. Don’t answer unless you plan to hide your shady mistakes from you friends and family. The first mistake having been buying this book. The second opening the book. The third reading it. ...and then you will have to explain the weirdo at your door telling you how pretty you are, licking their lips, while winking at you like they have a tic.
