Taught me all the basics I needed

When I was attending CSUN for animation, our character design teacher, Charles Zembillas, told us about a book his friend had written about storyboarding. At the time, CSUN did not have a dedicated class on the subject and I wanted to know more, so I bought a copy of the book. I later took a course at Charles' private school. Using the first finished assignment I did for that classes, incorporating the information I had picked up from this book, I landed a job in the industry and have gone on to work on several shows I am very proud of.

If you are a student wanting to learn the basics of this field of work, quickly, than this is the book for you. Even if you're already starting out, and you just need a refresher, it is a quick and easy book to pick up, flip through and get back to work.

Great book on storyboarding basics

Cinematic Storyboard Workshop is a great tool for learning the basics of storyboarding. Gregg Davidson takes the complex subject of storyboarding and breaks it down in a way that’s easy to understand. I’ve used this book for several years in college-level classes I’ve taught and plan to use it in the future. It’s a great book, not only for beginners, but for experienced artists as well who want a quick refresher on the basics of storyboarding.

Best, Most Concise Book on Storyboarding I've Ever Read

I've been working in the motion picture industry for over 35 years and in animation for over 25 and this is without question the best book on storyboarding I've read. I've seen dedicated classes on storyboarding not cover as much nor cover it as clearly. For anyone wanting to learn how to board, this is the first book I'd recommend. And they probably won't need any others.

Just got my copy today. It is a concise book filled with just about everything one needs to know about the art of storyboarding. This book covers all the essentials. It's a nice sized format and filled with loads of illustrated examples. I highly recommend this book.

A Helpful Guide

As a beginning storyboard artist I thought this book was an excellent guide to becoming a better storyboarder. It reminded me of the basics that are essential and gave me new insight on how to use camera angles and staging to me advantage. I definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Story
