I very rarely write negative product reviews. I figure if something has obvious problems, other buyers will be on the case quickly.
But I am making an exception here because I am so disappointed.
The good news:
These are very sturdy pans which conduct heat beautifully.
I just inaugurated one of them with some frozen potato pancakes, and large German hot-dog-like sausages
I cooked everything at 425°, the pan was in the oven for about 20 minutes, and the food came out beautifully.
Potato pancakes were as brown and crisp as you could hope for, ditto the sausages.
The problem came when I try to clean the pan.
I waited until it was cool.
I used regular dishwashing detergent.
I started with one of those little plastic scrubbers you use in the kitchen sink for various things.
I move on to a stiffer plastic scrubbing pad.
And I eventually resorted to a very stiff bristled brush, of the type you usually use on floors.
80% of the burned-on stuff came off easily.
But the last 20%, in the grooves in between the circles, is taking serious elbow grease.
I am a 175 pound bodybuilder, and I’ve spent at least 15 minutes on this.
There is still a shadow of those burn marks which I have not succeeded in removing.
I wouldn’t be making an issue of this,, if the company didn’t make such a point of proclaiming how easy these pans are to clean.
I believe the problem is the circular grooves, not the nonstick material.
And I think I will eventually get the pan clean.
But this sure isn’t what I expected,
