The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is really three devices in one box. First, there`s the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There`s also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.

Works very well with my PC, my fiancé's Mac, a Playstation3, a wired multiuse printer/fax/copier and the standard cable modem RCN provided.
Configuration was quick and easy and I had no problems in that regard.
My only complain with this product is the fact that the DHCP server has problems after a while. If you leave a PC/device on for too much time, it will "lose" it's IP address and there is no way around the issue other than rebooting / power cycling router and affected devices. It doesn't happen too often so it's not a major issue, but I would have appreciated the linksys forums to be more supportive of my post on this issue - as they really have not been.
So 5 stars for product design, features and ease of use
- 1 star for DHCP server flaw
- 1 star for poor product support
= 3 stars
I bought the Linksys N900/E4200 last month and by the end of the month returned it and bought the Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G again.
The N900 had issues with staying connected with printers and computers. Speed was not any better that I could tell.
The Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G router is simple and stable.
Update: Sep 19, 2015.
The router started to loose/drop connection with printers and other wireless equipment.
Noticed the firmware was from 2009 and after finding the correct firmware I update the firmware with a release version from 2012, which seems to be the latest version. This solved the problem. To find the version of your router look at the bottom of your router label with Model number and you should see a V with numbers. My router version is 1.5 and firmware can be found at Linksys website under downloads.
I would not purchase it today as there are now many better choices like the TP-Link Archer for a similar price. Significantly newer and better wireless N and AC routers can be had for less.
The WRT56G2 was a good cable router in its day but now technology and internet performance has upped the game to a new level.
