The book offers some great insight, as Professor Snow portrayed herself as a close friend to Arianna.
Throughout the book, Snow portrays Arianna as a manipulative machine. She explained how Arianna's success was contributed by ruthlessly using the people around her. (You can decide if that's true or not.)
In the classroom, Prof. Snow would revisit moments of the book and she would get lost in explanation (re-living her moments) what was happening behind closed doors. I almost felt that Prof. Snow had a romantic relationship that wen't sour with Arianna...which led her to become one of the victims she explains in the book.
Keep an open mind when reading this book...as the author doesn't give her perception from an unbiased standpoint.
When Professor Snow assigned the reading assignment for her book Citizen Arianna. To start, I was somewhat intrigued knowing that Professor Snow had written the book. As a professor she is extremely passionate and I truly enjoyed her class.
Once I had finished reading her book it really changed my perspective on reading. It was one of the first times I actually read a book start to finished anticipating what the outcome was going to be.
Professor Snow tells the story of the trial, tribulations and the journey she & Arianna experienced in the industry of journalism. She's goes into depth on how Arianna was able to achieve her success to where she is now at the Huffington post. It was a humbling book to read.
It confirmed that persistence and confidence can get you a long way.It was an extremely motivating book to read just prior to venturing off into the real world. Arianna accomplished her goals and I felt it was a great example of someone whom I can look up to and admire. I highly recommended reading this book for peer pleasure or as an informative.
Read this book for inspiration, insight, information, intrigue and of course entertainment!
