About the Author
Sarah Kate Istra Winter has been a polytheist for over 20 years, and an animist since childhood. She first discovered the liminal magic of urban spaces in a hidden alley in Portland, Maine, but only deepened into a full spirit-walking practice after moving across the country and meeting the potent wights of Eugene, Oregon. She has explored the numinous landscape of cities from Athens to London to Boston, but has found a home in the Pacific Northwest, where moss-covered trees line the streets and sturdy rain boots are an indispensible ritual accoutrement.
