I read so many biker books that sometimes the storylines cross over a bit too much and originality seems to suffer...but all in all, it was an ok story. I read the entire book in one sitting and have the second in the series ready to read on my kindle. I just wish the grammar was not so poor and unfortunately for me, it lessened my enjoyment of the book.
Zoey and Hanger were an interesting couple and their chemistry was hot and exciting...even though they met under horrible circumstances and Zoey clearly was suffering from abused woman syndrome. I have been reading that this is a debut book and it did have potential to be better than it was...maybe some trusted betas next time would help.
**** 3.5 **** "learning to trust again" stars
Where it kind of fell apart for me is that Zoey and her world was just a little (a lot) too perfect. Everything was peachy keen right from the get go with her. Didn't bother her at all what happened to her or that she woke up in a strange place. Parents were all like super happy about it all. She's a strong girl but it made it her not very relateable to me. People have flaws and she just had none.
Neither of the main characters seemed to have any depth to me. I was much more interested in her sister and Writer than I ever was in those two. Just a little more depth and little more human in these characters and I'd love these books.
Perhaps with a great editor and some massive revision, this would be a good story. I'm so glad it was Kindle Unlimited and I didn't pay for it. If the author would use an editor and some beta readers for future books, she may turn out to be a good writer. For now, I can't see myself wasting more time on future works.

The writing style is a little different but very good. There are some mild editing issues but nothing like some other reviews stated. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Dawn
It was painful to read this book because of the poor grammar. It took away from the story, which was just alright. In fact, I did something I never do. Read morePublished 5 months ago by SKG
