Raised and educated in Alabama public schools until enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1969, honorable discharge 1975. ~ After a period of active military duty, the author returned to school at the University of Alabama and graduated in 1975. Finished an M.S. degree at Jacksonville State University. ~ A working professional since 1975 he also attended Jacksonville State University where a Masters degree was earned in 1978. He has worked in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. ~ Father of four children-two girls and two boys and grandfather of five, as of this writing. Married to Denise Tompkins of Virginia. ~ Several novels, many editorials, and essays.
