I wish mental fitness had been a required subject beginning in kindergarten. Academics and physical fitness were important, of course, but I now realize that every part of my existence was colored by my mental health (or at times, lack thereof). Sadly, I wasn't taught what it meant to be mentally healthy, let alone how to become mentally fit. Being raised in a less-than-healthy family situation put me at an even greater disadvantage.
Even though I have a college degree, I had absolutely no education, training or awareness about mental health or mental un-health. Unfortunately, I remained in an unhappy relationship far too long because of my ignorance. Had I been given a book such as this one," perhaps I could have saved years of needless emotional pain.
How crazy is it that most of us have never been given information about mental health that could vastly improve our lives? How crazy is it that most of us were never taught about false beliefs, habits, and conditioning that needlessly make us miserable or cause us to stay in unhealthy relationships?
This book is good for anyone who wants to know what Mental Fitness is and how to go about achieving it.
