Claiming Addison is the first book that I have read by Zoey Derrick and I know I am going to devour this series. Addison Beltrand is the PR person for 69 Bottles Rock band. Talon Carver is the lead singer and Kyle Black is the manager. They are all on tour together along with the other singers in this band.
If you love ménages then you need to read this book. Do read the warning because the ménage combination is MMF, MFM and there is MM and MF sexual content. This is a very hot book to read. I can’t wait to get started on Craving Talon book 2 and has been on my Kindle since April 2015.
I loved reading Claiming Addison and now I am ready to start book 2. I give this book 5 stars.
The relationship between Kyle and Talon is almost it's own developing story alongside the relationship between Addison and the two men. Neither of them have had a connection like this one with another man before and I savored those parts where I got to watch each man open up his heart just a little more for the other. While at the same time they each also have deep feelings for Addison.
Addison is a strong, smart and talented heroine. Although she's confident in herself there are times when she doubts her attractiveness or her ability to be "enough' for these two incredible men. I relished those parts of the book when Kyle and Talon went about their own personal ways of reassuring Addison of their feelings for her.
I warn you that it DOES leave you hanging and wanting more! I've already ordered the sequel, Craving Talon, and it just can't arrive fast enough!
If you love ALL KINDS of ménages then you need to read this book. This is a very hot book to read.
I loved reading Claiming Addison and now I am ready to start book 2."
Had this for years, opened it last night, stayed up all night reading it. Just got the box set to read the rest.
series...LOVE!!! ok, so, Zoey D. writes like no other writer I have ever read. This trilogy pulled every emotion out of me, like a roller-coaster. I even learned a few things about myself, as I was learning and loving there characters. I wanted to jump in the pages and defend human rights to love. I wanted to kick some psycho butt. I also (mostly) wanted to join the gang on the tour bus - listen to some raw jam sessions - be a voyeur - and have a family of friends that loved!
I must also make a point that I have tried many times to read the rock star genre and many of them have ended up in the DNF pile because of the "sex, drugs and rock & roll" lifestyle that is so often portrayed in them. It tends to annoy me when the hero is too much of a man whore and takes far too long to exhibit a change. Personally, when I start a romance, once the hero(s) and heroine(s) have met, I do not want to read about them having "relations" with anyone other than each other. It's too reminiscent of cheating (since we know they will end up together by the end of the story) and I HATE romance novels with cheating. (Sidenote: have authors noticed that rock stars in 2015 don't really live lives like their 1980s counterparts?) Of course, Derrick still has some of these aspects I've noted above, along with those psycho groupies that are so prevalent (where are these girls because when I go to concerts, I just see a bunch of nerdy fans like myself, not a horde of unpaid wannabe hookers :) ??)
Still, Derrick does a great job balancing everything and building the romance at a quick but effortless pace. Any existence of the aspects of this genre that is part of this book was quickly overshadowed. Needless to say, this book took me less than a day to read and I'm ready for book 2!!
Although this book does leave us on a slight cliffhanger, don't fret fellow book lovers! Book two comes out next month!
