However, after occasional wear for two months I split the inside seam on the right shoe from the tip to the vertical seam on the inside.
I left a message for Clarks via their website including pictures, but they never got back to me. I ended up fixing it for now with super glue and it's holding. I'm disappointed with this purchase, as my last pair of Clarks are still going after three years.
I am used to the Clarks 'un' line - but I was trying to save some money as they cost $130+.
Overall - they look great, feel OK in terms of comfort.
I am dropping my review to 3 stars becasue these shoes are just not as comftorable as Clarks I have worn in the past. The insoles help with the heal of my foot, but after wearing these every day for 3 weeks the front of my feet hurt. There is just not enough padding in the front of these shoes, even with insoles.
I also should have bought 12 wides
Still at 30 bucks they would work fine for a shoe you do not need to wear very often. I would still recomend Clarks, just perhaps not this shoe.
I always buy Clarks, while the tan model of these shoes are what I would call low end Clarks there still better than any other brand I have tried.
Clarks are always a bit large, I am a 13 in running shoes but a 12 with Clarks. They also always fit a little small at first but once the leather wears in they fit fine.
4 stars because I had to get insoles with more arch support I do that with all my shoes but the arch support on these was not as good as other shoes even Clarks.
*edit* I ended up getting a size 2 sizes smaller than what I normally wear (and I wouldn't be shocked if I could go down another half size). But, they seem like really nice shoes. They're comfortable and don't make that "ca-lunk, ca-lunk" sound that a lot of similar shoes often make. I'm be a repeat customer of Clarks.
