Bought these for my husband. He loves them and wears them all the time at home. We love the soft flexible rubble sole as we live on a farm with a gravel road. The gravel hurts if there’s flimsy padding so it’s great for taking trash out yet still great for our hardwood floors. They’ve held up really well, even to a couple puppy’s testing them out 😊

Well Made and Comfortable but Seems to Run a Size Small

I bought these for my husband to replace slippers he loved but had worn out. He didn’t want to give up his old slippers despite them having holes in the soles so I knew I had to find a pair that he would love more than the ones he had. These Clarks slippers had positive reviews and seemed well made so I thought they might fit the bill. Unfortunately, the “true to size” fitting recommendation by Amazon wasn’t accurate in our case; when my husband tried them on, they were so small that even barefoot, he couldn’t fit his entire foot inside (lengthwise, the width seemed fine). He’s a straightforward 11. His foot isn’t wide or flat and most size 11 shoes/slippers/boots fit him perfectly. These slippers were definitely sized almost an entire size smaller. So we returned them and ordered a size 12. They fit him much better. They’re a little loose when he’s barefoot but they don’t slip off of his heel so it’s not an issue. He really likes them. He says they’re comfortable and he likes how they look. The sole is more sturdy that the last slippers he had so hopefully they’ll last awhile.

I read many reviews before ordering this shoe. SO many mentioned they ran too small & were too narrow.. Based on so many reviews repeating this I ordered my regular size I wear--12. This shoe was at least a whole size too big & would not stay on my foot. Hard to tell about width since length did not fit correctly. It ism frustrating that shoe sizes vary so much. They seemed like a durable shoe. Typical feel of a Clarks shoe. So many reviews mentioned with the lining being present they fit tighter. I have a normal 12 d foot. I think it is possible a lot of people have wide fat thick feet and therefore have lots of width/length issues with many types of shoes. Frustrated I had to send back. I also read it as free returns before ordering but was charged 5-6 $ for that which may have been a restock fee or a shipping return fee that was not clear. I try to order where there are always free returns. This shoe was not the case which led me to not even consider reordering in a smaller size. Again, it seemed like it might have been a good houseshoe----but just remember your own foot for sizing. if you have a regular normal foot order a size down. if you have a big fat or thick foot etc etc... you need to find a shoe that orders as a wide for reviews better that way.

Nice house shoes, but the insoles had to go.

These are very comfortable house shoes, but only after I removed the insoles that came with them and replaced them with thinner ones. The original insoles made the shoes too small, even though I bought a pair that's a half-size larger than I usually wear. They also cause the heals of the house shoes ride too low on my heal.

Once I swapped the insoles out, though, they're great.

Reading through all the reviews of every pair I've looked at, there was always something; And believe me I looked through a lot (I was about tired of looking).But when I found these it was more positive than negative so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did because he loves them!! Of course at first they were a little tight but you have to break them in for your foot; they're new so it's okay. He tells me they're comfortable and he's glad I got them for him. :] He also claims to feel more sophisticated in them. So yes, it's safe to say he loves them.

Laces come apart!

Within two days of wearing them the lacing came apart and I had to use a large needle to restitch the slipper together. I used a product called “fray check” to secure the ends to stop the laces from coming apart again! This photo shows the wet product before it dries in the laces. Very disappointed with the slippers.

Have bought Clark’s Kenneth shoes for work for years. Splurged on these slippers because of that. They are tighter than the real shoes in same size! Narrow and fur has gaps in seams. Not satisfied this is up to Clark’s standards. Can’t recommend?
