When I received this pair, I actually did not like the look of the shoes, until I put them on and they look great with a blue jean. I bought my usual size with Clarks shoes, and they fit perfectly.
These shoes feel very comfortable on day one – I did not have to break in at all. In my work, I need to walk in between buildings for meetings and the walk takes between 5 to 10 minutes, so not extensive walking, but still I need a pair of shoes that allows me to walk fast, without any pain from the shoes. I wear them for over 9 hours a day. I am glad I have bought this pair, as my other Clarks are getting old.
I plan to wear this pair in my upcoming vacation, which requires me to walk a lot. That will be the ultimate walking test for these shoes. For now, I am giving this pair of shoes 5-star for its comfort, quality, and nice look
I ordered about ten pairs of shoes in varying styles and manufacturers. She immediately chose three that fit and she wanted to try on again the next day to see which was her favorite. She emailed the next day to say that these were her favorite. The toe box is roomy, the instep and width perfect and the length true to size. She can wear them with regular socks. She only wore them for an hour in the house to try them, but based on that, she said these were very nice.
While these aren't specifically for people with diabetes, she said there were no spots in the shoe that rubbed her or caused any pain.
I normally wear a size 9.5-10 B in most women's shoes. I like the length of the 10's in these, but could probably wear a 9.5 if I was going to be wearing thin socks. The toe box is a tad narrower than some of the Clark shoes, but nothing that cramps my foot.
The shoe is as pictured and very comfortable to walk in. A nice bit of cushion and good flex, out of the box. No real need to break them in.
I will be getting a second pair of these to give as a gift. They are a great everyday, casual shoe to go with jeans, chinos or cords. My sister who is a teacher swears by the Ashland Alpine Slip-On Loafer, and now I know why! Really comfortable and well made.
