This is the 2010 version of the game that was last published in 2003-'04. The same four categories are back, person, place, thing and year. They've added some new things to the clues, like "Move even with the leading player." They still have things like "Move ahead (or back) two (or three) spaces," "Lose a turn" and "Take one free guess chip."

Some spaces on the board allow players to move ahead a few places. With my groups, we usually get the answer in less than 10 clues, but there are exceptions. There's usually one "dead-on" clue on each card that unless you're in a coma should give you the answer.

The fewer clues it takes you to get the answer, the further you move on the board. Years are the toughest since you have to give the exact year to score. The "question mark" playing pieces are a nice touch as well. Modern day celebs like Britney Spears are included with stuff you learned in school years ago, so young and old alike will be able to play this game together.

We played 20 Questions with family and friends at Christmas time. It was a great success because all ages could be included. Some questions were harder than others which was good because it kept everyone's interest.

Fun family game for all ages. We played this game with our family who range in age from 6-60 and had a great time. It's not only entertaining but educational for the kids and exercise for the "older" brain . Some of the questions were answered by the younger kids because they had just read about the subject in school. Turn off the TV, computer, put away the phones and take out "20 Questions." It's really fun and gets you thinking, enjoy!!

The concept of the game is simple and easy. You have one person draw a card and the other people get to pick a number 1-20 to get a hint. When a player correctly guesses the card then scoring is determined by how many questions/hints were used/left.

I've been playing the old 20 questions with my friends. A lot of the references were out of date or we didn't know but still had fun playing it. I checked Amazon for a newer version of the game and sure enough there was one. We got the new game and tried it out. The first thing that you will notice is the game is much quicker as the board is smaller. The other thing is that the questions are very modern and most people will get the references. Our least favorite category is the Year cards but we still have a ton of fun with the game.

If you are looking for a new game to play with your friends with modern references then buy this game. It is full of fun and laughs!

I've played this game with peers, family, and even with students at the school where I teach. The game is so much fun, easily adapted if you'd like it to be shorter, quicker, or easier. It's easy to pick up and understand, and the questions vary vastly in difficulty (as well as the clues varying in usefulness) so everybody of whatever age stands a pretty good chance of winning.

I searched high and low for this game and was lucky to find it at Amazon. It is an excellent "trivial pursuit" type of game, but much, much better. I find it great with partnering up with younger members of my family and the young ones really enjoy it as well. I highly recommend this game!

The object of 20 Questions is to be the first person to reach finish by identifying people, places, years and things through clues.

You start playing 20 Questions by placing your playing piece at the start. Put the red chips along the edge of the game board and the card deck in the center of the game board face down. The cards contain topics and questions. The topic will be a person (living or dead, male or female, real or fictional), a place (geographic locations), a year or a thing (not alive). The questions are numbered 1 through 20 and they describe the topic.

You start the game by one person pulling a card (we will call them the reader) and stating that the topic is a person, place or thing. The player on their left (we will call them the guesser) says a number between 1 and 20 and then covers that number on the board with a red chip. The reader reads the clue that is numbered with the number the guesser asked for. The guesser has 10 seconds to guess who or what the topic is. If the guesser incorrectly guesses, play continues to the next person. If the guesser guesses correctly they move their playing piece.

This is where it gets tricky. The amount moved will vary as to how many times it took to guess the correct topic. Let's say you guess the topic in 7 tries, the guesser will move ahead 13 spaces and the reader will move 7 spaces.

I think some of the categories are difficult for younger children.

All in all, I think this is a good game. It is very educational, I think my son has learned a lot from it. It was also challenging for me at times. This game is definitely for the whole family. I would highly recommend this game; it's fun and educational.
