Why choose ClassicFlame built-in electric fireplace?
Zone Heating Saves
Heating your entire home all day may not be the best economic choice for your utility bills, particularly with the rooms which are used only during certain parts of the day, like bedrooms, dens and basements.
Zone heating is an effective way to provide comfort to your home, without having to warm every room. You can shut off the heated air blown to different sections (or 'zones') of your home which aren’t occupied and use a portable heater to provide supplemental zone heating for the part of your home which is occupied.
The ClassicFlame 36EB221-GRC 36 inch contemporary built-in electric fireplace insert provides you with greater control over heat distribution in the home. You can harness the energy and money savings of zone heating by warming only the room you’re in and lowering energy bills by turning down your thermostat.
Advantages of Zone Heating
Energy efficiency – You don’t have to waste extra energy to heat rooms that aren’t occupied.
Control – Placing a heater in the different rooms of your home allows you to decide suitable temperatures for each particular room, since every room may not require the same amount of heat.
Individualized control and comfort – Since different members of your household have different individual needs for warmth, the ClassicFlame 36EB221-GRC 36 inch contemporary built-in electric fireplace insert allows them to set the temperature to what they want without having to disturb other household members.
Looking at its advantages, zone heating can save energy and give you more control to customize the temperature of the different zones of your home, plus reduce the wear and tear on your HVAC unit.
Year Round Ambiance
As the outdoor air temperature changes, you can enjoy the relaxing quality of the dancing flames and glowing ember bed of a fire year-round without getting too warm. Additionally, this stove is a great addition to your décor and can create an atmosphere which adds charm and romance.
The ClassicFlame 36EB221-GRC 36 inch contemporary built-in electric fireplace insert will provide visual delight and the warmth of a fire, plus the convenience to allow you to control the temperature, including turning the heat completely off.
Having the convenience to turn off the heat gives you the ability to continue enjoying the relaxing effect of a flickering fire during the warmer spring and summer seasons.
Gas Burning Flame Effect
Using state-of-the-art technology, ClassicFlame created Spectrafire flame effect technology which adds blue and amber highlights into the flame effect, resulting in a realistic contemporary LED gas-burning flame effect with adjustable colors: Amber, Blue, Amber and Blue or automatic color cycling.
Your fireplace comes with a multi-function remote which offers you the ability to customize your electric fireplace with 9 uplight and 9 downlight color options for additional customization.

At first I thought the heat wasn't powerful because it wasn't blowing hard. But boy, does the room get warm! I have a 15/20 room, and it get into the neighboring kitchen and den too.
The flames look nice, but of course because it is in even columns, it looks more like a row of torches than a fireplace. This is a pretty effect, but obviously different than a fireplace fire.
It is a lot of fun to play with the different colors of uplight, downlight, and flame light.
The remote does everything except change the temperature.
The control panel comes with a very long detachable cord (I am guessing 10-12 feet), enabling the control box to be placed easily.
The light up control screen disappears completely when not in use.
You can run heat with no light/flame at all, or lights/flame with no heat. You can turn off both lights and the flame independently.
You can put other aftermarket glass rocks or crystals to further customize. The face detaches easily with 2 screws.
Maybe I am the only one who will like this, but if you set all 3 colors to blue (up/down/flame), it totally looks like a fish tank bubbling! I actually placed a few pretty glass fish in with the glass rocks, and the aquarium effect gets wows from all my visitors.
There are 2 cons. The first is that like all electric heaters, there is some noise. This unit is not the loudest, but not the quietest either. Mid-range compared.
The other con is that the downlight colours don't mix as well as the uplight. The down light shines on the back wall. In colours that are made by combining 2 different colours, you are still able to see the two distinct colours in the top half of the wall. The uplight has a white frosted diffusion, plus the rocks, so you see evenly mixed color. But the to light you don't. I am a lighting designer so I really notice this. It still looks nice though.
