For some lucky souls, the much-needed safe harbor can be something like classical music. We have the evidence to support that here, in this engaging book, from a variety of those consumed with this art form - that being composers, performers, audience, teachers, et al. It seems the order, beauty, and timelessness of classical music can provide a solace and meaning for some when nothing else comes close to being able to do that. Classical music even provides a bridge into the realm of the spiritual.
The author does not go it alone but joins hands with a distinguished list of contributors: James Kent, director, CHOPIN SAVED MY LIFE; celebrated violinist Rachel Barton Pine; Len Mullenger, founder, Music Web International; and Nicholas Reed, producer of Academy Award winning THE LADY IN NO. 6.
This book is well researched, well written, and thought provoking.
