5.0 out of 5 starsWhat a hero !
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2018
Nobody in this world can top the courage, resilience, tenacity, integrity and honesty that Sibel Edmonds has shown through her incredible crusade for truth. She had to endure more than mental hardship and horror, more than Kafka could have imagined. It's clear how sick this world and the top of some key organisations and governments (like the FBI, DOJ and judges) are. After reading her testimony and life story, I much better understand the recent tumult around former FBI Director Comey and his decisions as well as the problematic image of the FBI. Clearly, the top of the FBI and a lot of governments is so sick; you cannot but throw up instantly. Thanks to Sibel Edmonds, our eyes are wide open now and the current situations in the USA and the world are becoming very very clear. This is war and terror of the nastiest sort. The more comes out, the better. Sibel Edmonds needs all our full support. She truly is a (super) hero !

2.0 out of 5 starsControlled Opposition
Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2018
This book needs to be approached with a healthy degree of skepticism. Most of Edmonds claims lack supporting documentation and cannot be verified. Furthermore, although Edmonds purports to be a whistleblower, her freedom stands in contrast to this - true whistleblowers tend to be "disappeared." My reading therefore is Edmonds fulfills a "Controlled Opposition" function - she is purposely put out there as a whistleblower but in actuality is a disruptor among researchers and critics of the national security apparatus. Her recent disinformation campaign and takedown of the excellent work of journalist Jessica Beeley in Syria reinforces my impression of Edmonds.

Still, controlled opposition can be read for its juicy "limited hangouts" and there are a few here. I unfortunately do not know any compiendum of consensus from researchers regarding what to take as legitimate and what to ignore. Edmonds also very pretty, but from a high-vantage point, how does she have income unless she has employment? There's something about young, photogenic, and attractive "confidence people" that after awhile becomes a predictable "method." Her knowledge is insufficiently compartmentalized, which is still not explained by her work as a "translator." Fast forward to her buzzword "gladio" pieces, if anything her insider knowledge should diminish through time- and this book shows her experience with the FBI, not with the agencies that perform covert actions abroad. Instead, her experience seems to increase over time. I do not find her credible, and this book should be moved to the "True Crime fiction" section of this website.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read if you're ready to take the red pill

Jaw dropping story of a one woman's fight against the government she once thought was out to protect her and its citizens. In the end, we see a jaded and disillusioned freedom fighter who, after fighting the government for over a decade, has realized that government is more interested in protecting itself and its special interests than it is in its citizens.

You'll be amazed and angered at the astonishing incompetence and the REAL way the government operates -- rewarding failure instead of success and wasting as much money as humanly possible in the process so that they don't "lose" their funding.

This book will tear the veil off the fairytale version of how government works that we all get taught in our government run K-12 schools. A must-read if you're ready to swallow the "red pill" and learn some frightening truths about the deceptiveness and lawlessness of our own government.

I had never heard of Sibel Edmonds until I saw a post on Facebook where someone mentioned that her book “Classified Woman” was an enlightening story so I ordered it. I started reading it and finished within a day.

Her story is the proof that there are powers in control of America that are destroying the constitutional rights of all Americans and they need to be stopped. Ms. Edmonds experience with the FBI, Congress and the courts certainly proves that we all need to take action.

I’m just thankful that Ms. Edmonds persevered against some of the most powerful organizations in the world and even though they tried to silence her, she found a way expose the corruption.

"Classified Woman" should be required reading for all Americans.

5.0 out of 5 stars very sad. Not just for Sibel

I've been a fan of Sibel Edmonds' web site, "Boiling Frogs Post" for a couple of years and follow many of the journalists she hosts. I did read "The Lone Gladio" when it was first published and was very intrigued with the topic -- I found the writing well done, expressive and compelling. However, I still hadn't read Sibel's account of her incredible experience with our government when she made a heartfelt and genuine effort to reveal important information she'd come upon while in her role as an FBI translator during the period of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. The book represents a timeline of her valiant efforts to reveal the misdeeds of various important and powerful individuals, elected as well as chosen U.S. officials and representatives embroiled in corruption and very serious crimes.

I just finished reading her book and can't stop thinking of what Sibel went through after approaching various government oversight agencies and representatives and being completely silenced. I found her story extremely credible, yet very, very sad. Not just for Sibel, but for all Americans -- the sense of betrayal is enormous. Sibel Edmonds is the perfect model of a concerned citizen and patriot, as well as extremely courageous and self-sacrificing. I hope someday the truth is revealed. It would probably represent a healing for the country.

I am completely engrossed by Sibel Edmonds’ memoir. She has an incredible gift for writing and this book would be a fascinating read even if it were purely the product of her imagination. This is because when you read this book, you can definitely feel the truthfulness of it jumping at you directly. Edmonds doesn’t try to spin anything, and she doesn’t exaggerate; as a translator, she literally just gives you a detailed rendering of the facts as she experienced them. Wow what a powerful experience. Completely life-changing.

This is a Very Important book if you think your First Amendment Rights mean as much as they once stood for...And became quite evident the lengths some of our National Law Enforcement Agencies, in this case the FBI...are willing to go to to Cover their ass...and get that damn door to the closet shut before any more Bones try to escape...and their secret is out...Take about a Journey through hell and back, and all because of this lady who wanted her day in court to prove her firing was unjust and without merit...But you can't testify too well if you've had your first amendment rights taken from you at every level...by whatever means possible...and it's CLEARLY OBVIOUS, in 2001 the FBI had a rather difficult year keeping all the balls in the air...and the Skeletons in the closet also...

5.0 out of 5 stars A True American Patriot And A Courageous Woman

The very first reveiew by David Swanson cannot be topped. It was brilliantly written as was Sibel's memoir. I recall the late Jim Garrison, former District Attorney in New Orleans and later a state judge who said this in the October 1967 interview in Playboy. "In my own experiences I believe Fascism is coming to America in form of a police state". I may be off a word or two, but these prescient words would become reality 34 years later. I have been active on behalf of another whistle blower who was not so fortunate, Abraham Bolden, the first American American Secret Service Agent assigned to the White House detail in 1961 by President John Kennedy. Abe attempted to tell the truth to the "Johnson Commission" and was arrested and railroaded through two kangaroo federal trials and an appeals trial. In the second trial (the first ended in a hung jury), the prosecutors two main witnesses confessed they were bribed by the prosecutor to lie under oath against Abe. In the appeals trial, the prosecutor took the fifth amendment when questioned about this bribery charge. Still Abe spent three years and three months in federal prisons, and was subjected to drugs. His autobiography reads like Sibel's, only Abe was without the internet and blogs and alternative radio to support him in the mid 1960's.

Abe was the first whisleblower in 1964 and was crucified for ATTEMPTING to talk to a bogus cover up commission "investigating" the murder of President Kennedy. Both Sibel and Abe are true PATRIOTS and are heros to me. You can add Susan Lindaurer to this small list. Her story is just as compelling as Sibel's and Abe's in Extreme Prejudice. I strongly encourage any who cares about our country to get informed. Read this book and Abe's autobiography and Susan's struggle in Extreme Prejudice.

Google Abraham Bolden and sign the petition to expunge the bogus stain on his life. Time is running short for all of us. The police state is here, and we have to support sites like Sibel's boilingfrogs and Susan's veterantoday.

Sibel, thank you for the courage and conviction you displayed. I am inspired that there are at least a few people who are courageous enough to face the pusillanimous mental midgets who have the power to take our constitutional rights from us in the false flag gibberish of "fighting terrorism". I could not agree more with the Ben Franklin quote, nor the Samuael Adams quote cited by Sibel in this gripping, incredibe book. You will not put it down once you start.

As someone who has worked extensively with translators overseas, I know how important their role is and how critical they are to the mission. When I read Sibel Edmonds' story I was shocked but not necessarily surprised. I wasn't surprised at the lack of professionalism that she witnessed among the staff of translators at the FBI's counter-intelligence office, but I was shocked at how over the top, brazen, and corrupt it was. One of my Arabic teachers at the JFK Special Warfare Center and School told us that he carried a book full of the names of Palestinian martyrs so I didn't think I was naive about this subject. He would get a kick out of showing us Special Forces students propaganda clips from Memri TV of a Rabbi making Matzo ball soap with the blood of a young Christian boy.

Sibel Edmonds was a naturalized US citizen who got a call shortly after 9/11 to come work at the FBI and help them translate documents and catch up on their backlog, hopefully to turn up clues that would help unravel the plot behind the attacks. We don't know for sure what language Sibel was translating into English, the title of her book isn't just a gimmick. The courts have ruled that where she was born, when she was born, and the languages she is fluent in are all classified as state secrets. Government officials have said she is the most Classified Woman in US history. However, we can surmise that Sibel is fluent in Turkish and probably Farsi as well having grown up in Turkey and Iran.

While simultaneously working towards a college degree, Sibel begins working as a translator at the FBI `s counter-intelligence office. Her hard work is quickly recognized and she gets picked up for multiple field assignments, helping exhausted FBI agents in their investigations in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

It is back at the FBI headquarters building in Washington, DC that she begins to realize that something is amiss. Classified documents are mishandled, some translators are not qualified and can barely speak English, and documents of critical importance are non-nonchalantly being stamped as being not relevant to FBI investigations.

It gets much worse when a co-worker and her husband (a Major at the Pentagon) come to visit Sibel and her husband Matthew at their home. They then proceed to "pitch" them. They want Sibel to join several Turkish-American Associations. These are the same organizations that Sibel and her co-worker are targeting everyday at their job as translators for FBI counter-intelligence. The FBI has been investigating a dangerous group that is involved in drug trafficking and nuclear espionage with connections to Israel and worse connections to US politicians on both sides of the aisle.

It sounds very much like the plot of a dime store novel, but these are events that bring down the whole house of cards for Sibel, as they would for any honest American. A criminal network has penetrated the FBI and is actively sabotaging investigations that could threaten their operations.

When Sibel makes complaints and tries to say something to superiors she is shut down at every turn. The FBI was nothing short of hostile towards her as she tried to expose what was happening, badgering and threatening her until they finally fired her out of hand, despite passing a number of polygraphs. It was realpolitek at its most extreme and the actions of the FBI officials she attempted to report to are nothing less than treasonous.

This of course, is only half of the story. The other half is about how Sibel became a whistleblower, how the government attempted to intimidate and harass her, how her family in Turkey had their lives placed in jeopardy by the criminal network she was trying to expose, and the lengthy court battles involved. The grisly details are not pretty, among them that the government had intelligence about Middle Easterners plotting to hijack planes in major cities and use those planes as a method of attack, months prior to 9/11 but these warnings went unheeded. Classified Woman also paints a depressing picture of our own government, our justice system, and the separation of powers.

The mainstream media didn't want to hear her story with one or two exceptions, Congress didn't want to get involved because the corruption she was exposing involved both parties, and the Justice Department's Inspector General actively helped cover up the crimes they were supposed to be safeguarding against.

A lot of folks don't like to hear about this sort of information. They call it conspiracy theory. My experience is that when someone comes to you with information, even if it is shocking, and they have a where, what, when, who, why, and how than that information needs to be taken seriously. Sibel names names. Read her book for yourself, and I think you will quickly see that she is the real deal.

If nothing else, the amazing lengths the government went to in order to shut her up tells you a lot in of itself.

This is a terrifying true story that should be made into a movie!!! That might help to make non-readers aware of how our highest officials really serve, not the people of America but themselves and their foreign criminal partners. The patriot act should have been repealed long ago, but no one can stop the flow once the dam is breached. Our civil rights are only as strong as the voice of its citizens. This story reveals how impossible it is to speak and reveal the corrupt elite in our country, where judges are chosen not for their integrity but for their foibles which leave them vulnerable to manipulation by the royalty in control of the executive branch of government. Constitution be damned, if the king doesn't want his cronies held accountable you can be sure that executive privilege or national security, or if all else fails pardons will be used. The author of this narrative is an inspiration. It is unreal that it took a person from a foreign country to fight so hard for things Americans just let be taken away.

I highly recommend this book to those who wonder why no one was prosecuted for 9/11.

I am going to make sure my library has a copy for all to read and heed.
