If you look at the generic information above, under the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION heading it says that this is the B52+ model of these plastic side shields. If you look at the TECHNICAL DETAILS beneath that, it says that these are meant for "Small to Medium frames."

Having ordered off this exact Amazon page, I can tell you that the information is a bit misleading.

My side shields were shipped with the specification paperwork for the different models--including the one I purchased. On that paper, it says that the B52+ is good for MEDIUM to LARGE frames.

These side shields are too big for small frames. I tried installing them on my wire-frame glasses, where I felt like the very act of installing them would do damage to the temples of my glasses.

The side-shields are attached by slipping a temple through a small rubber band and then lifting that rubber band over a tab. The longer the temple-legs are, the more you'll have to stretch that small rubber band. There were times I was afraid my glasses would bend out of shape before I got the rubber band in place.

Even if these side-shields were the right size, I still felt that the act of installing them was far too time-consuming and unintuitive. A snap-on clip or something would be much faster and practical, in my opinion.

For those that plan on using these with Medium or Large frames, the side-shields are "fitted" by merely bending the "Living Hinges" to complete the fit. Unfortunately, these "Living Hinges" are nothing more than flexible plastic, so there is a chance they can still fit improperly.

According to the paperwork that came with these side-shields, here are their sizing recommendations:

Really only fits small to medium glasses. Won't fit the pair of Army BCG bifocals I tried to turn into shop glasses when I retired. Trying to find the next size up; will save these for some other smaller pair. These are barely larger than the model marketed here by the same seller for small glasses. Guess someone ought to come up with measurements, in empirical units, by which to quantify words like "small," "medium," and "large."

Very difficult to get to fit on glasses snugly. I had to take off the plastic bands that come with it and wrap them differently around the shields just to get them to hold to my glasses tightly. I won't be buying another pair of them.

These side shields fit right over my regular prescription glases and work wonderfully. I feel very protected from the elements when wearing these during my work and recreation.

Nice side protection. I have it mounted on my surgical magnifying loupe. Just make sure you pull the rubber band out away from the glasses and stretch it to the back to hook on to the holding slot. It is quite easy to mount and provide excellent side protection from flying objects. Highly recommended! I am ordering an other one.

these are a good protect, but are to big for my glasses. . I will give them away to someone at work who may be able to use them on their glasses. . I have the M size already and they were to small. . now I am getting new glasses. . and wont need them. .

Kind of funky looking but they work. I use them on dedicated prescription glasses when woodworking but couldn't see wearing them on "regular" glasses (bulk, peripheral vision). You could take them on & off but the wear & tear (on the retention rubber band if not the glasses) would wear things out. Added to prescription glasses, they were a better, cheaper and more flexible alternative than buying prescription safety glasses with integrated shields.

Provides a semi-good seal along the top edge, but a totally useless seal along the bottom area where it supposed to meet the cheek. If you only want protection from things falling down it's ok. However, using portable or table top power tools at your waist level will send metal or wood chips right thru the openings and into your eyes. Also, the rubber bands or "O" rings that you use to fasten them are too small. If you have very thin wire frames, you will probably bend the frames while installing the shields. Ask me how I know this.
