ClearStream 2V HDTV Antenna with Mount
60 Mile Range
The ClearStream 2V antenna uses patented technology to receive TV signals 60 miles away from broadcast towers. Rated 4.5 stars, this antenna is ideal for suburban and rural areas where heavy foliage or roofing materials reduce the incoming signal. Dedicated UHF and VHF multi-directional elements deliver range and reception in less than ideal locations. No other antenna can match its performance in such a compact form.
The ClearStream HDTV antenna series come with a lifetime warranty on parts to assure you of their superior build quality and durability. (Conditions apply, kindly contact customer care/website for further information.)
Did You Know?
There are many advantages to an HDTV outdoor antenna over an indoor antenna. An outdoor antenna will have fewer obstructions and less interference (noise) from other electronic devices in your home. A single outdoor antenna can service more than one television at a time. If your home had satellite or cable service, the coaxial cable needed to send the antenna's signal to all your TVs is already installed.

Reduce Your Monthly TV Bill
You can now experience HDTV in the highest quality picture and sound available. Over-the-air broadcasts are transmitted in crystal clear Full HD 1080; far less compressed than what cable and satellite offer. Many local broadcasts are digitally aired in 5.1 Surround Sound giving you the ultimate sound stage for watching live television. With a digital TV antenna you can receive free local news, weather, kids shows, sports, cooking, shopping, and sitcoms from networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, CW, ION, and much more, with no cost or contracts. Broadcast TV won't be interrupted from service drop outs. Quick fact: local sports are broadcast free over-the-air. You just need an antenna.
A Leader In Cutting-Edge Technology
Why do our antennas outperform the competition? The proof is in the patented loop design. The ClearStream series is engineered to respond to a greater range of frequencies along with a wide beam angle eliminating the need for rotation. In addition to the loop technology, the reflector focuses the antennas power for added range and also provides protection against multipath interference.

Top customer reviews
This antenna, and I believe this applies to all flat HDTV antennas, is NOT omnidirectional. Online reviews often list them as omnidirectional but the manufacturers are much more careful in their descriptions. The antenna should be placed on an outside wall facing the TV towers you wish to pick up. The direction does not need to be exact, but turning the antenna 90 degrees will impact reception. In my case it reduced the number of channels I could pick up.
This style antenna is also designed for UHF reception. Most, but not all, HDTV stations are UHF. This antenna will pick up some VHF signals depending on their frequency and direction.
When setting up my antenna, all the major networks but one were broadcast on UHF from the east of my home. The other was broadcast on VHF from the south. No orientation of this antenna would pick up every station. I contacted Antennas Direct customer service and they responded quickly and helped figure out a solution. I needed to add a VHF antenna to my setup, and together with this antenna, they work perfectly. Customer service was great!
The web site tvfool.com can be used to show the location, frequency (UFH or VHF), and direction of channels at your address. Focus on the chart that lists the stations in descending order of signal strength to best understand what you will need from an antenna.
Installation: In attic about 25 feet above the ground with pre-amp (Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT Digital HDTV Preamplifier) cabled into a junction/splitter that runs to various rooms in the house.
Previous antenna: Mohu Leaf (Amplified) - worked OK but when rainy or foggy, some of the channels that were even 10-15 miles away cut out momentarily. Although multi-directional, noticed better reception when oriented in certain way and difficult to aim given its design.
Results: Works great. Picked up 10 more channels that were rated Blue or Violet on AntennaWeb.org while providing strong / quality signal on those channels that were fading with the Mohu...even on a rainy / foggy day. This is a directional antenna, so you need to point it where the stations are located; a 5 degree adjustment can make a world of difference. Again, my stations were within a 100 degree range, but this antenna had no issue with picking those stations up. Fortunately, those Blue / Violet stations were in the middle of the range fan so I have the antenna pointed directly to those "weaker" stations. Also, the VHF was able to pick up the 3 stations that were broadcasting VHF.
Some tips when buying an antenna:
- Where do you live? Check out AntennaWeb.org and find out where your stations are located and see if an antenna will even work for where you live. The website will be able to guide you to see what antenna you should get (small, medium, large, directional, multi-directional, etc).
- If you're splitting the signal to more than one TV over long stretches of wire, then ensure to get a pre-amplifier and place it between the antenna and splitter.
- Your TV DTV Tuner. All TVs' DTV tuners (converts the antenna signal to the picture on your screen) are not created equal. Some are better than others at "catching" and converting the signal. My newer TVs (less than 2 years old) are able to pick up the Blue / Violet stations while my older TVs (4-5 years old) cannot. Also, how far the signal has to run on the length of cable can also have an effect once it gets to the TV.
Hopefully, this helps.
