About this item
- Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
- Premium Quality – Keep in mind that this handmade high carbon steel boning knife is not dishwasher-safe. You will need to hand-wash it and keep it clean and dry to resist rust after each use. Compared with meat knives made by general stainless steel, our forged kitchen knives have an extraordinary performance in edge-retention and a longer service life. The 6-inch sturdy blade passed multiple hand-grinding processes for an incredibly sharp cutting edge.
- Unique Leather Sheath -- The outdoor chef knife is equipped with a practical soft leather sheath to protect the blade. You can put a belt on it for easy carrying when camping outdoor. The portable camping knife is your ideal assistant for Butchering, Fishing, Camping, and Outdoor BBQ activities.
- Stylish & Practical – Unique hammered texture on the blade make it beautiful to behold and corrosion resistant while it also helps to prevent foods from sticking. Curved wood handle and large finger hole on the blade provides a secure grip for excellent control while filleting fish, chopping vegetables and deboning meat. The Full Tang design prevent this fillet knife from falling easily.
- Multipurpose -- This handmade meat cleaver is classified as a multi-function kitchen knife. The curved blade is perfect for many kitchen tasks like trimming brisket, slicing meat, and chopping vegetables, breaking down a whole chicken and deboning of lamb ribs.
- Well Packaged – All of our boning knives pass strict quality control before shipped and well packaged in an elegant box. We provide 100% SATISFACTION WARRANTY and 30-day money back guarantee for quality issues. It’s definitely an ideal gift for your lovers, family members and friends who loves cooking and knives.

While this meat cleaver is being advertised as a hand forged boning knife, I find this description somewhat misleading. However, despite its misleading description and as an owner of multiple kitchen cutlery, this knife is an useful addition to your culinary toolbox.
PROS: A nice budget, entry level knife that is great for every day kitchen use. The blade comes sharp and oiled out of the box and sports a comfortable grip.
CONS: The knife is definitely not hand forged and is most likely mass produced in China. The blade is made with low-end steel (7cr17mov). While this steel type makes the knife hard, it doesn't make it tough.
COMFORT: (4 Stars) The knife is very comfortable to hold due to its ergonomic wooden handle and finger hold design. The wooden handle is well built and allows you to comfortably execute different cutting angels while maintaining control.
USABILITY: (3 Stars) The knife is fully capable of breaking down a whole chicken at the joints, slicing meats, chopping vegetables, filleting fish, and deboning meat. The fact that the blade has a full tang design further contributes to the knife’s stability and control. However, this knife may not be able to go through bone (chicken or otherwise) without denting the blade edge.
MATERIAL: (3 Stars) The blade is made with a low-end steel (7cr17mov) that is common in every budget friendly knife. While the blade offers good edge retention, corrosion, and wear resistance, it is not very tough. As a result, I would not recommend using this knife to baton wood for the camp fire. Overall, it is a decent steel that is great for daily kitchen use or for outdoor cooking.
PRICE: (3 Stars) The cost for this blade is appropriately priced and I would not recommend paying over $25 for a knife of this steel type. As a gift item, this knife would be an ideal present for the budding kitchen warrior.
ACCESSORIES: (3 Stars) The knife comes with a (pseudo) leather sheath and packaged in a nice decorative box. While the leather sheath provides a handy carrying option, it may not hold up to prolong use.
Total Star Rating: 3.2 (16 points out of a possible 25)

I thought I was getting a good deal but you get what you pay for. Forge marks are painted and my blade had a stress crack in it. Wont buy again. Will it cut...yes. will I use it probably not.

I just received my knife today. Looks great and quality is good. However, I'm disappointing in the size because it is not what they said it was. They advertised the knife being, 275mm in length. The knife I received was 260mm, They said the knife blade was 145mm long. The knife I received is, 135mm long. They said the knife weights 252g. The knife I received is, 230g. Other than the size, I like everything else about the knife. Unless I received the wrong knife, they should change the measurements on their advertisement.

Ok to be fair, this is definitely more of a meat cleaver than something you can use regularly or even for a camping weekend. The thickness of the blade is far too thick for cutting vegetables. It actually was breaking the veggies not cutting them! I thought and bought the marketing. I returned it. I can get a knife that is more all around better at Academy Sports or Cabela's and see the thickness of the blade.

To use the hole - your hand is barely on the handle - didn't feel safe or practical. I returned 5 that I ordered for gifts.

Feel. The knife feels good in the hand despite the slender profile of the handle, but its shape is good so that helps, plus if you need the ultimate stability you can always use the finger hold in he blade, though it shortens the useful functional length of the blade for kitchen use, but if you're disassembling a moose at the kill, it's not a problem. You're likely to have at least a couple-three different blades present, including a longer, slender boning knife. I hunted Alaska for over a decade, so I know of what I speak, and carried 3 knives, and a Wyoming saw in my backpack, so the length is not a problem if you carry another knife along (as you should).
One think to be aware of- The wood handle is supplied as raw wood, completely unfinishes. It absorbs water like crazy, and swells as well as gets dark when wet. See the photo and you can see the difference in color between the wet part and the dry part. That was just from touching the wood with a wet finger. If it's soaked, ore evn held under the water, it's worse, and will probably start the carbon steel rusting badly. If you're gifting the knife, you might seal the wood with something like Watcos Danish Oil or a good outdoor polyurethane, or Tung Oil.
I PREFER carbon steel over stainless steel due to sharpening characteristics, but you do have to us care to avoid rusting, like oil-treat the included sheath (nice sheath, BTW) so if it gets wet it won't hold water and rust the blade.
Overall, so far I like the knife. Keep in mind the knife is made for heavy boning, so is THICK, is not ideal for fine slicing of vegetables and such. For meat, or coarse cutting of veggies, it's fine. Just don't expect to cut paper thin slices of tomatoes-

First, I like the knife. It did not come as sharp as I'd been led to believe, but I took a few strokes on a diamond hone, and the blade was quite acceptable. If you plan to chop as with a cleaver, you don't want a razor edge that is tender.

Great knife! Looks cool but even cuts better. Love the hole design in the blade itself. Gives a better feel and balance when cutting. I’ve used this knife about 5 times since I’ve had it and it still has the same sharpness. I used it to cut the bones out of the ribs before smoking, cut up bacon before cooking and worked creating cutting my “grown man” sandwich before eating. You will be impressed and not disappointed with this knife.

Arrived on time. Well packaged. Good design and easy to hold. Sharp - will have to see for how long. Have a feeling this was made in China as the holder is so flimsy and obviously the only reason that it is included is because it is sharp and will not fit into a knife holder. Altogether pleased.
