An absolute workhorse with no flaw in sight!

I ordered a Vacmaster 4 Gallon, 5 Peak HP with 2-Stage Industrial Motor Wet/Dry Floor Vacuum, VF408 for my parents and decided to get 1 for myself. Unfortunately, that model's price went from $45 to $100 and I decided to get this model instead. There are 4 main differences, 1) this comes with a telescoping metal wand vs the fixed plastic tubes, 2) the cord wraps around the handle vs the automatic cord rewind, 3) the accessories/nozzles that come with it are different and 4) the exhaust can be used for an air blower vs the useless hepa exhaust filter gadget they have on the other. This model is made better in my opinion - - it is just more robust and it sells less than it's intended $129 market price. The other 1 is great for older folk but this 1 is quite useful if you don't mind wrapping the cord around the handle after use - - in addition, this cord is 25' vs 18' long. I use the bags for convenience sake and with no need for leaving the internal filter on, the suction power is much greater than the other model. I highly recommend this mini shop-vac for every day use. It proves to be a nice switch vs the weak, noisy and very large vacuum cleaner alternatives made today. Currently selling for $84 it is a great bargain and worth every penny. The light on the plug also makes it easy to see when it is connected to the outlet behind a chest of drawers or beneath a night stand.

Overall this is a good wet vacuum with one exception. It says it has a 4 gallon capacity but the ball float that prevents water from being sucked up in the main operating system appears too be to light of weight or something is wrong. I can barely suck up a gallon of water before the float stops the vacuum from sucking up any more water. I have to empty it before I can suck up any more water. The heavy duty hose and 25' cord are the main reasons I bought this over the basic and a bit less money model. No regrets on spending that extra money at all. One of the parts that makes up the handle was damaged as received. I called and they said they would send me a replacement. Still waiting on that and I think I need to call and remind them of that problem as it has been over 2 weeks. They were very nice and said they would send me a replacement part no problems.

Ok right out of the box the metal handle is smashed from the company, and had to use pliers to make the pieces fit together.
I do commercial type cleaning, thought this would do the trick. had no time to return it. I had to make the wand fit.
not happy that i can not find a good priced commercial vacuum for bare floors.

This is a great vacuum cleaner with great features.
It is heavy duty with great suction!

There may be only one drawback and that is the amount of water it holds (it would be nice if it was more), though I have not used it yet for water collection. But if you look at the height of the inlet hose on the canister/basin the water can not go above the level of the inlet port.

Vacmaster makes three other models that are very similar to this one they are:

1.) Blue one: Vacmaster 4 Gallon, 5 Peak HP with 2-Stage Industrial Motor Wet/Dry Floor Vacuum, VF408

What this does NOT have that the Cleva DOES have:
>No lighted plug.
>No steel wand and or tubing
>No crush proof hose
>No industrial type casters

2.) Green one: VacMasterPro VacMaster Job Site Pro Wet/Dry Vac - 4.2-Gallon, 5 HP, Model# VF...

What this does NOT have that the Cleva DOES have:
>No wheels
>No lighted plug
>No crush proof hose
>No steel wand and or tubing

3.) Red one: Craftsman Four-gallon Five-peak Hp Wet-dry Vac

What this does NOT have that the Cleva DOES have:
>No industrial type casters
>No steel wand and or tubing
>No crush proof hose
>No lighted plug

I feel this Cleva model has the best of all three of theses vacuum cleaners In that it has:

A lighted plug, steel tubing and wand, crush proof hose, industrial type (easy roll) casters, large mouth attachment
Wheels, and a carrier bin in the back for accessories attachments.

What the Cleva is LACKING in what these three have and what it does not does not have is:

Craftsman (Red one:) The craftsman one has a retractable reel, and hose retainer clips that clip onto the unit to secure the hose. Has HEPA filter capability. Has Brush attachments. No warranty information

Vacmaster VF408: The BLUE colored unit has a retractable reel, and HEPA filter capability. It also has BRUSH attachments. 2 Year Warranty

The GREEN Jobsite Vacmaster model: Has an air/noise diffusser that none of the other vacuums have. 3 Year Warranty

Cleva has One year warranty.
This unit has the SAME motor as all three of these.

It rolls so much easier than the plastic casters.
