Well, I used to love my Ronco scrambler in the shell but since the name Ronco is synonymous with piece of crap, it didn’t last more than a few days. I learned to get it to work when it jammed which was every time, but finally to my dismay, I had to chuck it. When I saw this I freaked and bought it before I read any of the reviews. Oh, boy. Fortunately, it wasn’t very expensive, but what a poor design. The 2 AA batteries are just not strong enough to power this. After a full minute, the scrambler didn’t do a thing. I didn’t buy this for the cracker as I do not see why someone would need help with breaking open an egg, so I had already tossed that, but if I could use this to save one item from having to wash it, I would be so grateful. It doesn’t seem like a very difficult thing to do.

Broken on arrival, can't be bothered to send it back. I'm not disappointed because I expected total junk to start with. The rings which hold the egg are brittle, flimsy plastic. One of them was snapped, but it still holds the egg. Seems to work okay for cracking eggs. The scrambler is worthless, it does not scramble at all. Did not try the yolk separator, but it looks like it might work okay. The metal parts look like they will soon rust, although they might be stainless, though I guess probably not. The quality is very poor. I hoped to use just the egg cracker for a person with a disability who is unable to crack eggs. It doesn't matter to me if it breaks the yolks, the key thing is that it actually did manage to crack the eggs. The cleanup, however, is difficult because the egg white gets all over the unit. Using warm soapy water and a sponge is the best way to clean the very sharp pointy blades and the arms and loops which hold the egg. The picture on the box shows the egg going into the holder loops with the big end pointing towards the handles. The photos on the instructions and the writing seem to have the egg in the holders sideways. So I tried it that way and a large grocery store egg fit that way. I'll continue to try it different ways and see how it holds up.

The scrambler is surprisingly useful. The bending suggestion others have written about definitely helps. I actually run it inverted and for almost a full minute. If you keep it from resting on the needle, it'll spin faster and work better. I only use it when I make things that benefit from flat scrambled eggs like flan. I wouldn't suggest it for daily use. I still use a fork for normal scrambled eggs. The cracker and separator actually also works well but it seems to be overkill just to crack an egg.

Buy it you'll like it! I bought the egg cracker just on a lark. It came very quickly and the kit also includes the egg scrambler as part of the deal. Everything seems to be working pretty much as promised. I bought it on a lark. I have since ordered several (3) more to give as "fun or gag" gifts. I think that for use as random bits of kindness that they will be great. So do yourself a favour and order a few and make you're own heart smile, I did. Oh and by the way they are priced for way less than they have been advised for on the book tube. Jef H.

First time I used it, it was perfect. I was absolutely delighted, The egg separated beautifully and the shell was cut in half perfectly with no pieces left. Unfortunately, that was the only time it worked like it does on TV. The next 4 times it left shells in the eggs which and didn't separate, Instead it mixed yolk and white with pieces of shell in the container I had beneath the cracker.

This was purchased and tested numerous times and we learned that it is just totally sub par. It crushes down into the egg regardless how quickly or slowly and with varying pressure and speeds. Every time it is the same...crushed messy egg without separating the two halves. Don't bother with this at all. The enclosed egg scramblers that come with these also do not work and barely mix anything after a very lengthy run time. Complete waste of money!

It didn't work at all as advertised, and maybe that is a good thing. Perhaps when something like this is perfected, that will be the final sign that the end times has truly arrived.
I like eggs, I eat a lot of them, and I like them scrambled. The egg scrambler worked, but more work than just putting eggs into a cup and whipping them with a fork it seems. The cracker was just a massive miss. I wanted it to work so badly, and so badly did it work. I adjusted, I read others reviews, and got nothing. Maybe there is a specific brand of eggs that fit this to work, but after trying 3 types of varied sizes, I just junked it.

Had high hopes as I always eat eggs in the morning and crack them on side of pan. Some egg always runs down outside of pan making mess on stove. Cracked three eggs this morning and two sprayed egg white half way across the kitchen during cracking. Has yolk separator attachment which would be useless because also broke two of the three yolks when cracking. Into the trash bin it goes.
