There are also several issues with the main compartment. 1st: Its on the smallish side. I can barely stuff three bottles of regular sized Gatorade with ice in there. 2nd: The main compartment only has one zipper which limits my access to the items in the bag. Since the cooler is under the cart and tilted down and away me when full, the one zipper makes it more difficult to open the compartment to retrieve items. Again, why not add another zipper? 3rd: The main compartment leaks! On a hot day, how can my drinks stay cool when all the ice is melted and dripping on the fairway? I've tried ice packs, but they failed to keep the drinks cool for long.
Again, the bag looks great on my cart (That's why the 2 stars)but lacks the functionality of a good cooler.
Curious why it doesn't include the freezer packs, though I already had some at home. highly recommend for golfers who like to walk the course.
It does the job of cooling 6 beers very well. It's got nice thick insulation. However, because the top of the bag hangs by a velcro loop on the middle of the bag attached to the center shaft of the push cart, the weight of the contents in the bottom cooler pull down on the bag. This distorts the top and thus prevents the flap from closing. The top flap is only secured by a magnet which is convenient, but pulls away easily as it distorts by the weight of the cans in the bottom so I'd rather have some clip or zipper. The magnet is impractical with this design. It does mount very well otherwise and doesn't slide down or fall off. The materials are top notch.
Like I said I've only used it once and when I have I stored a lunch bag in the top compartment and it never fell out so can I really complain about this? We'll see. If anything falls out I'll come back and update my review. Until then based on a rather high price point and flaw it only gets 3 stars. Would I buy again? Yeah, because it cools well, looks nice and matches my rig.
