Editorial Reviews

From the Author

My novel, Cliffhanger, a suspense thriller woven into a love story, is a different genre from what I normally write.  This book stole more time than I wanted to give to it, rewrite upon rewrite. But the devil is in the details.   I imagined an America that is up for grabs, far more chaotic than what happened in 2020. The world of big data, idealistic politicians squaring off against corporations, shadowy skirmishes for global power, and evolving social norms are in continuous conflict with each other.   Nobody has a clear sense of the future.   Except for a 60-year old high school history teacher named Stuart Wilson. I like getting into my characters' heads and hearts, but especially Mr. Wilson's.   He knows what particular disaster lurks in another fifteen years down the road, and he believes that one exceptional female student can confront it, even prevent it.    Brit Kitridge lets nothing get in her way, except her romantic interest in another senior, an ambitious, conflicted boy who seems to be out to destroy her.
