It's a battle of corporate greed vs the stewards of nature. The movement to preserve the pristine forests and natural way of life is call Free Cascadia. Set in the Northwest USA and western Canada, this action packed read is filled with a cast of characters that could rival the Game of Thrones. Chris Soles, the spiritual leader of the Free Cascadia movement, along with Sapphire MacKenzie lead a army of true believers that attempt to keep their land from falling into the hands of controlling big business that aims to exploit and destroy this sacred ground.
Climate Wars is indeed so relevant to today's world, based on the politics surrounding America. It reads comfortably, It has plenty of humor, love and action and..... a thought provoking ending.
Enjoy the book, you will not be alone. .
The people of Cascadia, a loosely defined area of north western North America including British Columbia, Washington state and Oregon, are fed up with the oligarchy that controls their lives and is destroying their planet. Revolution is in the air and Chris is in the middle of it.
Penney weaves a fascinating story of heroes and lovers ( even taking an excursion into the erotic- a pleasant surprise). Eco-terrorist and peaceful protesters collide in this intriguing tale of sabotage and betrayal.
I really enjoyed reading this one from Mr. Penney-a real page turner- I hope you do too.
