Charge too much once again for shows that are "free" on other services. Yes they have membership fees like Prime does but much lower and more free popular programs and movies. Discouraging. I really like these shows but will get them elsewhere

More important than any news program in my opinion mostly because the news moves on after 5 min on any story.
It's important to remember that there are more than just the victims affected by the actions of others. The detectives in these programs show the cameras the smallest piece of the mountain that is the rampant crime in these major cities.
Showing how families deal with these tragic issues... it can be really heart breaking. They are the true victims since they must go on after someone they care about lost their life.
It is the most real "reality" show I've seen and I watch it because it shows more about human nature than any other show. Why did they die? What was the cause of the problem? These questions often have disturbing answers or no real answers at all.
The only show that reminds us there are people out there who do very bad things but that there are those who care enough about those crimes to work tirelessly to catch those that do them.

This gritty documentary style show is chilling. This kind of honesty is very rare, especially in this day and age of "reality TV."

A few disappointing features: you'll know the innocent folks during interviewing due to their face being censored out and immediately know the bad dude, or the one who is eventually charged, due to their face being camera available. Seems silly, but it makes watching an episode formulaic. That being said, this show drags you into the bottom pits of society and shows you how the detectives do care, are real people, and also get caught up in the emotions and politics of police work.

I've seen a lot of cop shows. This is the best ever! The only thing I don't like about it is that the wrong viewer could use this information to be a better criminal.

My children turned me on to this show years ago, but the show soon ended shortly, and I was sorry I hadn't known about it earlier.
