This story felt rushed, there are untied ends and weird transitions. The timeline was so shaky that for a moment I wasn't sure as to what I was reading. Kindle Alexander is one of the first authors I read on this genre and knowing her work well I'm somehow disappointed.

I loved Secret and Always. This book seems like it was an aborted effort. There are three scenes and the final 30% of a really good book. If I didn't know how good it could be I would give this high marks, but too much was left off the table.

-- MY THOUGHTS >
Judging a Book by it's Cover:
Yet another naked torso, this one having a stethoscope draped over his shoulders and... is that a towel wrapped around his hips? Leads me to hope he's not on duty! I opted to read this title based solely on the author and my previous enjoyment of her work, hoping this one would be as good.
Looking Deeper:
The main story, originally published in the Night Shift anthology, is just a steamy hot glimpse into the workday of two men that work together. At one NOLA hospital, you'll find Derek, an ER doctor. Justin, a former soldier, now also works there. They've been attracted to one another since day one, but neither made a move toward the other for various reasons. Until now. Without warning, and nevermind any sort of romance of softer emotions, they hook up in one of the closets in a mostly-abandoned part of the hospital. It's all rather grunt, hiss and caveman-speak at that point; no emotion other than primal urge. But, things aren't always as they first seem. With a nice little quickie twist, revelations are made. Their shift at the hospital ends on a "Happily Ever After" noted milestone, but it's the Bonus Content that Ms. Alexander has released with it that truly unfolds the shift into the couples' lives. These endearing bonus scenes take you from the day they meet to Forever After and grant you the opportunity to see more of the emotional content missing in the original quickie short story.
Both men are very likable. Their chemistry and compatibility is more evident in the bonus content than the original part, but it all does begin to make sense in a clever way towards the last third of the short.

What can I say but Kindle Alexander made Closet Confession better then when we were first introduced to the Hot as Hell Dr Derek Babineaux and his just as Hot Boyfriend Justin Delacroix.
This is truly a love story that is so heartwarming it will have you loving these two men from page one.
Justin meets Derek out one night and really that is
The start of a loving relationship. The two go through separation due to Justin service but the love these men have you can feel coming off the
Pages.
These two men deserve all the happiness and they go through some hurdles to get their but in the end they both truly deserve that HEA.

(review for CC from the Night Shift Anthology)

Kindle made me fall in love with two very HOT, very sexy, and very sweet men in just a few short pages! There was a little 'twist' about 1/2 way through the story that I SHOULD HAVE seen coming but I was too enthralled with Derek and Justin that I missed the clues. I'm really hoping to read more about them in Tristan's book, Secret.

**Amended review for the release of the story with added scenes**

I stand by my 5 star, I now love Derek & Justin even more!!! While they were NOT in Secret, the bonus scenes made up for that! Added scenes include the night they met, moving in together, meeting Aunt Vera, and a future scene (no spoilers). But, I'm greedy... I WANT MORE!!! LOL

In typical Kindle Alexander style this book packs a punch, even though it's a very fast read. How they pack so much into a novella sized book I don't know. Hot sex, deep feelings, angst, him or, and tons of love. All hallmarks of this author. You won't regret the buy.

I originally read Derek and Justin's story as part of the Night Shift anthology. I really love the 'twist' Kindle Alexander gave the reader in the novella. As I re-read the story, enough time lapse I had forgotten it. So again delighted by the unfolding of their story.

I loved how you felt the connection between Derek and Justin. Obviously by their words and actions, there isn't a single sacrifice that one won't do for the other. In this version, Ms. Alexander gives you more of their HEA: How they met, how they meshed, and how we get to say "Awe"*swoon* at the lengths they love each other. However, my favorite character, Aunt Vera, hands down. When she pops up, you just know witty dialogue is to follow. Although I loved the story, I kept wishing for more, but don't we all when we love the characters? I would have liked to hear more about their struggles especially around deployment. However, you never know may get that future wish.

If you love stories with guaranteed sweet HEA, Kindle Alexander will not disappoint. She writes with feeling that wraps you like a warm hug.
