I was never a fan of this song when it first came out years ago, but I remember it well. Over the years, it has proved itself ageless. Sometimes I wonder if the reason they wrote the song is because bars and tavern owners will appreciate that they at the end of the day (or beginning of morning) they can turn the lights up and play this song loud instead of having to yell at customers to go home.

Great song...keep thinking of Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake when I hear it even though the movie came out much later. "...Closing time, time for you to go out to the places you will be from." "...Closing time, every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

When you want those last stragglers to leave your summer barbecue, dinner party, or other event, do what the bars do, and pull up this song on your MP3 player. I cannot think of a more polite way for people to get the hint that it is time to leave. If this song does not dredge up some memories from 'the old days', then you probably aren't old enough to legally be at the bar anyway. Great song, a must-have for any collection.

I don't really understand how one can objectively review a song. It's entirely a matter of opinion, and a review of a song is basically pointless. I can understand reviews for albums because you can rate an overall collection of songs, especially when the review comes out before the album.

But youtube exists now. It's not like you need to base your purchase on what other people think. You listen to the song, and if you like it enough to want it on your mp3 player (or in better quality than youtube)... (or if you want to support the artist), you buy the mp3.

I guess I'm just babbling and I need to write a minimum amount of words to be able to post this review... Seriously though, I love the fact that amazon hosts customer reviews, but it's a bit unnecessary for individual songs.

This song always makes me feel better. It reminds me that there are better things in the future and I can't stay sad about what has happened in the past. When I listen to this song I think of relationships that have yet to begin. This helps me stay optimistic and remember that I won't be single forever.

The song works and the download like most of Amazon Mp3 purchases was convenient.
I'm glad I got to purchase this song through Amazon. It especially got stuck in my head after watching "Friends with Benefits".

For those who aren't looking for a musically ingenious song, this would be it. The song is beautiful because it is both sad and happy, depending on what aspect is looked at: words or music. However, by the third minute, the repetition gets a little anticlimatic.
