The Dead Man in the Coffin
Blake Goldwin stared at the dead man in the coffin, trying to figure out how he could get the suit off Robert's corpse without anyone finding out. How the hell do you get a suit off a corpse? Blake had no idea. But somehow he was going to figure it out.

Robert always had said that the suit was the real source of his wealth and his sex appeal. He had said it was indestructible. He couldn't rip it. He couldn't cut it. He couldn't even burn it (and Robert said he had tried). It was some kind of super suit.

The clothes make the man. The sentence kept rolling over and over in Blake's head like a tumbleweed rolling across a dusty western road. The clothes make the man. That's what his dad always told him. Thank God for Dad, Blake thought. Blake had hit some pretty hard times lately and his dad was there to pick up the pieces. He never in a million years thought he would end up back home, but a slew of bad jobs and some really bad investments left him in some financial hot water. He fell hook, line, and sinker for a lot of high tech companies that had made a lot of high-flying promises. Too bad his financial wings were made out of wax and he had flown way too close to the f*#king sun. You'd think he would have learned after two hard crash landings, but no. Blake kept putting those wax wings back on and trying to soar high on those stock market jet streams. And he kept getting burned by the fiery rhetoric of aggressive brokers. He should've skipped the part about trying to fly and just jumped straight off a cliff. The end result would have been the same, but it would have been a helluva lot quicker to get it out of his system.

I know, I know! Karma is probably a word that is overused, but regardless, it is more than suitable.

Blake’s friend Robert, has a great looking suit. He loves to show it off and good things seems to happen to him all the time.

Blake, on the other hand, doesn’t have a great looking suit. And his life sucks!

“It’s the suit!,” Robert always brags. And Blake, of course, believes him. And to prove this, Robert dies in a car accident, and Blake sneaks into the morgue, and steals his suit.
