This is my favorite of the artist Thomas Locker's three books series: "Water Dance," "Cloud Dance" and "Mountain Dance." ... because in this book there are tiny figures included in most of the landscape paintings. It appears to be a grandmother (or other lady in mid-calf dresses) and grandchild (boy or girl) exploring the countryside around the family home by the lake. Sometimes the adult in the tiny pictures with the child, could be a man or woman. We had fun saying it was Grandma going around the beautiful landscapes with our grandchild! Our 8-year-old grandson was intrigued looking at the back materials and trying to identify the cloud types on each of the pages. You can make your own story from the pictures!Thomas Locker is one of my favorite children book illustrators and writers. Our children, and now grandchildren, are thoroughly engaged when we read his books.The superb paintings of different types of clouds are accompanied by an engaging, lyrical, well organized, educational text. Additional educational materials in the back pages.
