The Clover 7806 Hot Hemmer allows you to Fold, measure, press hems and more in one step. Measure ,mark and press straight hems, round, interior and miter corners. It is heat resistant so that you can press right on the ruler. A thin and accurate ruler that can be used with a dry or steam iron.. It has a unique non-slip surface that holds fabric in place for very precise results. Joan Hawley says " Keep it near the iron to quickly measure , mark or press hem , corners and more".

Sure - you can measure that 1/4" hem without this. I've used an index card that I marked with 1/4 inch. But this one isn't going to get raggy and tear and have to be made again. It makes doing the tedious job of ironing down your 1/4 inch hem SO much faster! And your fabric won't slip around either. [...] has a blurb on it.

This little tool is really helpful as it keeps your fingers away from the iron when turning up small hems. I make a lot of doll clothes so the hem turn up is usually only 1/4". I've used it several times, very pleased.

For years, the only commercial solution has been the metal Dritz hemmer of similar design. Not only did it get HOT while ironing up the hem . . .but was slippery.

Not so with this handy gadget. It grips the fabric while pressing so fabric remains in place until it's set with the iron, freeing up your hand to clear the way for a hot iron. No more accidental burns!

Wish this had been available years ago . . .one of Clover's best inventions!

I used this nifty device to accurately fold over hems on sheer curtains - a slow task at best. It worked wonderfully. I was able to press 1/2" hems and 3" turns of the cloth with equal ease. I wish someone had invented one of these years ago. It's a great improvement over using a piece of cardboard.

This little gadget works incredibly well when trying to keep a uniform hem pressed over a length of fabric. It slides easily along a seam and is thin enough so that pressing over it doesn't alter the depth of the hem. For the price, it's really a useful tool.

Very clever idea. Makes it much easier to turn up hems without burning fingers. I only wish it had 1/4" gradations in addition to the 1/2" grids it does have. Still, it's good for pressing the hem into place prior to stitching.
