I have never seen a more pathetic excuse for a POS system in my life. Full service restaurant owners, beware. This thing will cost you more money than you could ever imagine. Voids? It doesn't track them. 86 an item? Well too bad Clover won't track it. The best is the "app market". It's like the Alligent Air of POS systems. If you want it to sort of function, you have to download an app to make it to the basics. There's one for happy hour pricing (That's $5 per month) There is one that allows you to assign more than one job code to an employee (That one is $30 per month). And my personal favorite, if you want your staff to be able to RUN ACTUAL CHECKOUTS you have to download an app that is yup, $9 per month.
We're small business owners and I would have been better off taking $5,000 and lighting it on fire. The support is a joke, the system is costing us money every day. I cannot WAIT to get it the hell out of my restaurant. Save yourselves, DON'T BUY CLOVER EVER!!!!

Cannot process the total cost of goods (for calculating profit) even when the cost has been entered into inventory.
Fails to scan an item from time to time even it's already added to inventory.
Scanner does not turn on or freezes.
Completely shuts off from time to time even when the power supply is plugged in.
We are on our SECOND terminal in 2 months after they failed. It reported "TAMPER - return to Clover" and stopped working. Clover has to ship a new terminal. Neither terminal was tampered with or dropped (I reviewed my security tapes after the 2nd unit failed). Their support know about repeated failures.
The second time the unit went down it happened on a Saturday. We can't run ANY transactions, we can only call in and get voice authorizations, record all the card details, and run them manually when we get a new terminal. Because it is a weekend, we won't get a new unit until Tuesday. We are open 24/7/365, so this is a HUGE headache.
Out old machines ran for years without issue.
Waste of money, and now my staff are all stressed out running a busy weekend without being able to process cards unless they call the phone number, enter the MID at the prompt, press 2 for voice authorizations, speak to an agent, tell them the card number and expiration, get an auth code, document the customers card details, and promises the customer we will mail them a receipt.
